David Hogg, liberal hatemongers falsely claim Laura Ingraham’s radio show ending due to advertiser boycott

Back in November, The Hollywood Reporter and The Wrap both reported that Laura Ingraham’s radio show would be ending, citing family issues.  She will be starting a new program as a podcast in January.  But that didn’t stop liberal hatemongers from spreading the false claim that her program was ending due to an advertiser boycott.

According to THR:

Fox News host Laura Ingraham, “the most-listened-to woman in America on political talk radio,” is ending her daily, three-hour-long radio show and launching an “original series” for podcast network PodcastOne.

“While hosting a prime-time television show and raising three children on my own, continuing a three-hour morning radio show was no longer feasible,” Ingraham said in the announcement. “Although I will greatly miss my radio listeners and affiliates, working late nights and early mornings has taken a toll on my family life.”

Ingraham continued: “Plus, my radio audience is smart, savvy and committed, and I know most will follow my new show in the format that is revolutionizing the audio world — digital podcasting.”

Keep in mind that was reported back in November.  But the far-left hate-site Daily Kos proclaimed on Sunday: “Laura Ingraham’s Radio Show Cancelled Due To Advertiser Boycott.”

According to the post (Emphasis added):

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The world will be a better place in 2019, if for no other reason than Laura Ingraham has lost one of her platforms for hatemongering, her radio show previously syndicated by Courtside Entertainment Group, due to loss of advertising revenue.  But before you get too excited, she’ll be replacing it with a podcast and she’s still a fixture on Fox News. Media Matters did a lengthy article on the lowlights of Ingraham’s show. If you find yourself wondering for even a moment why the RWNJs think like they do, here is the mother lode of their dogma, 17 years of it.

Calling the Daily Kos headline “misleading,” the Washington Times said anti-gun demagogue David Hogg mocked Ingraham on Twitter while linking to the false report:

Predictably, the low-information leftists who follow the site praised Hogg and celebrated the “news,” apparently without checking to see if it was true.  A number of Hogg’s acolytes also celebrated the fake “news.”

Ingraham drew Hogg’s ire when she made comments regarding his rejection by four colleges “despite his claim of having earned a 4.2 GPA and scored a respectable 1270 on the SAT.”

Hogg demanded an advertiser boycott, prompting some companies to pull their advertising from her program, and he demanded a repudiation of Fox News, but her ratings increased significantly.

In fact, the Times said Ingraham “continues to host one of the highest-rated TV shows in cable news.”
