The Corona Challenge (#coronachallenge or #CoronaVirusChallenge) is all about licking things, everything from toilet seats to grocery items. There were the two TikTok film ‘stars’ (Larz and Ava Louise) who recently each licked a toilet and filmed their gross action. Or the woman who was contacted by police after licking the handle of a cooler just after a grocery employee disinfected it. The latest one, Cody Pfister, got himself arrested for licking merchandise at a Walmart in Missouri. He’s been charged with 2nd degree terroristic threat.
“A local resident who took a video of themselves licking the merchandise after making a “Corona Virus” statement at Walmart and posting it to social media has been taken into custody. Charges will be pending through the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
This particular video, which won’t be shared here, has gained some international attention and we have received numerous reports about the video from locals, nearby residents, as well as people from the Netherlands, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. We take these complaints very seriously and would like to thank all of those who reported the video so the issue could be addressed.” Warrenton Police
Cody Pfister, 26, was arrested after police were notified from numerous sources about his video that showed him licking Walmart merchandise.
The video was shared on Twitter and TikTok, garnering numerous views. Pfister must have thought he was cool for ignoring the danger. Problem is, he has a previous criminal record for firearm theft, driving while intoxicated, burglary, and narcotics possession.

He’s being held in the Warrenton jail without bond, but no one knows when or if he’ll be appearing before a judge, according to Townhall. The terroristic threat charge is a “low level felony.”

Oh and one of the two who licked the toilet bowl for the corona challenge? He claims to be in the hospital with coronavirus. Larz is a TikTok “influencer” who goes by the @gayshawnmendes handle on Twitter. They’ve suspended his account, according to the New York Post. He “influenced” himself right into the hospital. Brilliant.
As of this writing, in the United States, there are 65,564 cases of the disease and 929 deaths. Stupid challenges acted upon by morons do not help the problem. From eating Tide pods a couple of years ago to licking toilets and merchandise, they put their lives at extreme risk. There are lots of ways to risk your life- these #coronachallenges are a poor choice.
