Disturbing. The leftists who seem to be in total control of our “evil” history have decided to remove and destroy the Civil War Reconciliation Monument that has graced the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery since 1914. The Confederate Memorial had a purpose: to bring healing to a country split apart by war. The leftists do not want unity- they want control and to erase any vestige of history. And speaking of antisemitism, the statue was created by a Jewish artist. It all comes from the view that America is evil and must be destroyed.

Moses Ezekiel, the most prominent Jewish American sculptor of the American Renaissance (1870-1945), built the Reconciliation Memorial from 1912-1914. It features thirty-two full sized figures cast in bronze, depicting the universal experience families faced when their lives were interrupted by a call to combat. It was Ezekiel’s culminating work and his grave. The Memorial is surrounded by four-hundred graves in Section 16 of Arlington National Cemetery.

So when will Congress decide to blow up the Memorial Bridge? Or tear down southern houses especially if they are of historical value?

Congress passed a 2020 measure requiring the Department of Defense to remove ALL Confederate Monuments by January 1, 2024. The work to remove the Reconciliation Monument began today, December 18. To do it, numerous Confederate graves need to be removed as well.
“The monument itself shows a female figure on top representing the beating of swords into plowshares, the reliefs around the body of the monument depict freed slaves, and Union and Confederate figures in harmony, and even the base of the statue contains an excerpt from the Pharsalia, a poem written by Roman poet Lucan after the war between Julius Caesar and Pompey, decrying the horrors of civil war.” Twitchy.com
Leftists want to pretend the Civil War didn’t happen. They have deleted such military strategists as Robert E. Lee, and numerous Southern Generals. They’ve had monuments destroyed or removed all over the nation. The Reconciliation Monument is but the latest in their ISIS-like rampage to wreck all of history.
Some Republicans tried to stop it, but some Republicans voted for the removal of all Confederate monuments. “Political correctness” is a tragic trait that will contribute to America’s demise.
Over 40 House Republicans sent a letter to SecDef Lloyd Austin, asking that the removal be delayed until the NDAA for 2024. The letter was ignored.
“Despite bipartisan support for this monument, the Naming Commission, established by the Fiscal Year 2021 National Defense Authorization Act, clearly overstepped its legislative authority when it recommended that the Department of the Army remove the Reconciliation Monument from Arlington National Cemetery… The Reconciliation Monument does not honor nor commemorate the Confederacy; the memorial commemorates reconciliation and national unity. Furthermore, the Naming Commission’s authority explicitly prohibits the desecration of grave sites. Considering the hundreds of gravestones encircling the monument, it would be impossible for these graves to remain untouched if the Department of the Army proceeds with its proposed removal of the monument – both being a clear violation of Congress’ enacted statute and legislative intent.” Lawmaker letter (via Rep Andrew Clyde R-GA
They’ve done it anyway. They promised to “protect” the gravesites but it can’t be done without desecrating them. One of the graves near the monument is that of Moses Ezekiel, a veteran and creator of the statue.
The Civil War caused splits in families, with brother against brother fighting in bloody battles. Slaves and free fought on either side, unlike the narratives of the left. But this monument removal tells us something important: the left does NOT want any sort of reconciliation. They do not want coexistence. They want you gone.
In their haste to erase the real history of America, it may guarantee a civil war will once again be fought within our borders. This time, however, the United States may not survive. Our global enemies would see to it.
