“I will not pardon him.” Biden flatly stated in June of 2024. But over the weekend, he didn’t just pardon Hunter Biden for one case, he issued a wide-reaching pardon for any crimes committed over the last 11 years. All of this after constant denials from both he and his White House team that it would ever happen. He also claimed that the charges were entirely political. Not. And he pardoned him in spite of his own words.

Why did Biden pardon his son now? Dan Bongino thinks Hunter is soon facing sentencing and threatened to make a deal with prosecutors. Will Biden now pardon himself and brother James? Likely, because now that Hunter has an incredible blanket pardon covering 11 years, he can’t plead the 5th when Congress calls him to testify. If Hunter lies at that point, he will face perjury charges, so Biden can only protect himself and his brother if they also get pardons. @JohnRLottJr

So the question remains: will Hunter Biden actually devote his life to helping others? Somehow, we think not but we can hope he will do so. The way he was pardoned by his own father may say otherwise.
