Biden Keeps Mum About Attempted Kavanaugh Assassination: Fox News

Joe Biden’s silence in the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh is beginning to draw attention, leaving some wondering if he would remain as quiet had someone attempted to murder one of the court’s three liberal members.

According to Fox News, “Other than releasing a statement condemning the assassination attempt on Kavanaugh through a spokesperson, Biden has remained silent since the attempt on Kavanaugh’s life last week by a 26-year-old who was upset over the leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade.”

But there is more to the motivation. The would-be murder suspect also indicated to investigators he was concerned Kavanaugh would rule in favor of Second Amendment rights.

Ironically, the suspect, Nicholas Roske, was armed with a semiautomatic pistol, knife and other gear when he was arrested outside Kavanaugh’s home. The suspect apparently supports gun control, but allegedly violated several gun control laws by bringing the pistol to Maryland, where Kavanaugh resides with his family.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Reuters noted in a report that “U.S. President Joe Biden condemns the actions of the man who said he planned to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the White House said Wednesday,” but that was apparently based on a comment from Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and not a direct Biden statement.

Fox News noted, “The president has received criticism for his continued silence on the issue, with several of the GOP congressmen, who were targeted in the 2017 congressional baseball shooting, slamming Biden for focusing on ‘investigating parents at school board meetings as ‘domestic terrorists’ rather than the ‘actual dangerous violence’ coming from the left.”

It may be no coincidence that 27 House Democrats voted against providing more funding for additional security to Supreme Court justices in the wake of the Kavanaugh incident. Those House members were identified by Politico as Pramila Jayapal (WA), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, Adriano Espaillat and Nydia Velazquez (NY); Veronica Escobar and Sylvia Garcia (Texas); Josh Gottheimer, Bonnie Watson Coleman, Tom Malinowski, Bill Pascrell, Mikie Sherrill, Albio Siresand Donald Payne (N.J.); Rashida Tlaib and Brenda Lawrence, (Mich.); Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee and Norma Torres (Calif.); Raul Grijalva (Ariz.); Steven Horsford (Nev.); Chuy Garcia and Marie Newman (Ill.); Ayanna Pressley (Mass.); Joyce Beatty (Ohio), Ed Perlmutter (Col.) and Cori Bush (Mo.).
