Watch: Barack Obama flat out lies in Brazil speech, falsely claims anyone can buy machine guns over Internet

It’s easy to tell when Barack Hussein Obama lies — his lips move. While speaking at VTEX DAY, a conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Thursday, the former president spoke to a crowd was caught telling a number of lies about gun laws in the United States.
According to the former president, who should know better, anyone can buy machine guns, even over the Internet, because there’s almost nothing that regulates the sale of guns.
“Some of you may be aware our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon any time — without much if any regulation, they can buy it over the Internet, they can buy machine guns,” he said.
Here’s video of his lies, posted to Twitter:

Naturally, the BS meters pegged on social media:
Literally everything Obama says here is false. https://t.co/zObvw0HUgf

One person noted:
There's a rich irony in Obama lying about American gun laws while speaking in Brazil; a country with very restrictive gun control laws and a homicide rate about 5 times that of the U.S. https://t.co/V3QXgN4UF7

The Daily Caller correctly notes:
U.S. Federal firearms laws are stricter than Obama represented. Gun purchasers must be at least 18 for rifles and shotguns, and 21 for handguns, and pass a background check if they buy from a dealer, according to the National Rifle Association.
In addition, fully automatic machine guns cannot be sold to private citizens, as written in the National Firearms Act.
Whitney Tipton added: “Obama’s comments about guns are timely for Brazil. In January, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro issued a temporary decree that expands access for people to buy and carry guns, according to the Daily Mail.”
