Sheriff Grady Judd is a classic example of a Sheriff whose first concern as Sheriff is to create an environment where crime is punished and safety is secured.
We have been hearing for years that his brand of of old-school policing doesn’t make safer streets. That it does nothing to address the ‘root causes’ of criminality. That all it does is criminalize the behavior of people in desperate situations.
Ever since Soros has been filling the ranks of State Prosecutors with politicians who buy into the BLM attitude toward policing, we have had ample opportunity to watch the social implications of that political agenda.
There are two stories that popped up this week that give us an apples-to-apples comparison between how Washington, DC and Polk County Florida have handled the very same crime problem.

News broke this week, that two national sports franchises are getting the hell out of DC. Crime was a factor.
Virginia Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears cheered on the historic tentative move of the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals teams to Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia, while also lamenting that Washington, D.C.’s crime wave and safety concerns were a factor in the location change.
“It’s not just about money, but you got to talk about the environment. … What is the surrounding area of the venue?” Sears said to WMAL on Wednesday.
She added, “If you go to the game and you’re having fun but if you leave the game having to look over your shoulder, that’s an issue.”
According to data from the Metropolitan Police Department, robbery has increased by 69%, violence crime by 40%, and motor vehicle theft by 89% in 2023. — WashingtonExaminer
You know it’s gotten really bad in DC when FBI employees are getting carjacked. Politicians, too.
Meanwhile, one car thief in Florida was popping off about how he wouldn’t face any consequences abruptly changed his tune once he realized who, exactly, he was dealing with.

Sheriff Grady shared that story in a Press Conference in which he explained just what happened with that arrest.
A 14yo male and a 24yo male have been arrested. They are thought to have been part of a 4-person team responsible for some 35 burglaries in Pasco and 30 burglaries in Tampa, based on evidence like Ring camera footage. Sherriff Judd encouraged the public to look back over their own security footage to see whether there was any evidence of suspicious activity in their own neighborhoods.
Two of the four were busted in Polk County.
If you skip ahead to the 4:20 mark, the Sheriff describes the arrogance of the defendant evaporating once he realizes which county’s law enforcement he is dealing with.
The accused told the detective ‘I’m in Osceola County I’ll be in, I’ll be out’.
The detective corrected him, ‘You’re in Polk County.’
At about 4:45, Sheriff Judd reminds us that criminals are not ignorant of the law. On the contrary, they take the law into consideration when they make decisions about which crimes to commit and where.
If you let the video keep playing you will see exactly WHAT the criminal history of these people are… and how little they have paid the price for them. Charges were NOT filed.
These are repeat offenders who keep getting caught, and then repeatedly released without so much as slap on the wrist. Remember that Soros DA that DeSantis kicked to the curb? Same guy.
That means some of our lawmakers have been incentivizing precisely the kind of crimes they were elected to prevent.
With stories like this one, it’s not difficult to see what decisions the criminals have been making in different political environments.
