When Democrats, Republicans and Independents are all crying “foul play,” you know you’re in trouble. But does Mr. Biden? A new USA Today poll saw his approval rating freefall to just 38% – but will he change course on issues like the unpopular and divisive federal vaccine mandates?
Another new survey shows that a vast majority of federal employees disagree with Biden’s vaccine mandate, according to the Government Executive. President Biden announced the mandate on Sept. 9, and its deadline is Nov. 22, which is coming up next week. Federal workers are being commanded to comply or else face progressive discipline, hefty fines and losses, including termination.
Haven’t Americans endured enough through the last 18 months of government lockdowns, tens of millions of job losses, hundreds of thousands of business closures, mask mandates and massive increases of family stresses resulting from all the above in addition to day care and school shutdowns? Another record 4.4 million Americans (3% of our workforce) just quit their jobs in September, according to a monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics survey released on Friday.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
So, it is no surprise that there is widespread disdain over Biden’s presidential executive order that all federal employees and Americans in businesses with over 100 employees must be vaccinated or lose their jobs.
Here are just a few responses from hardworking Americans, as reported by the Government Executive:
One federal employee said, “I am not pro or anti-vaccine, I am pro-choice. It should be a choice not a mandate. Last I knew this was a free country.”
Another one said, “If you can do your job, i.e. telework, without contacting others, there is no reason to be vaccinated. It is the individual’s body, and they should have the right to decide what is done to it without fearing economic ruin.”
Still another said, “I worked and put the protocols in to keep everyone safe. I worked on the front lines for the last two years, and now you want to fire me?”
One respondent who claimed to work for the Agriculture Department’s Farm Service Agency said he loved his job and customers he serves, “but lately I do not feel the agency has my back or appreciates the work our agency does. After being on the front lines, figuring out telework, changing the way our agency goals are achieved I feel the employees deserve a little more than a ‘do it or get out policy.’”
One more respondent asked a very poignant question: “Is the federal government prepared to lose 20-30% of its workforce to retirements, resignations or terminations?”
On the bright side, Biden may be losing his grip and traction in enforcing his vaccine mandates on federal agencies as well as on private businesses. One of the largest federal employee unions is asking the White House to at very least delay the deadline. And as far as private businesses and corporations, not only are more and more Americans revolting, but a U.S. appeals court on Friday affirmed its decision to put on hold an order by President Joe Biden for companies with 100 workers or more to require COVID-19 vaccines, rejecting a challenge by his administration.
Biden is not alone in the field of political dictators who are dismally failing in their attempt to enforce vaccine mandates on hardworking good Americans. Here are just a few other similar headlines in the news over this past week:

The majority of Americans as a whole are not the only ones opposed to vaccine mandates. More and more medical, virus and vaccine scientists and scholars are coming out against them.
For example, a senior National Institutes of Health (NIH) virus scientist and the director of its LID Clinical Studies Unit, Dr. Matthew Memoli, has been hounding Dr. Anthony Fauci and others since July that he finds mandated vaccinations “extraordinarily problematic.” He said, “I think the way we are using the vaccines is wrong.” He further argues that population level mass vaccinations could hinder the development of a natural, robust immunity gained through infection, which is so much stronger.
Dr. Martin Kulldorff is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, a biostatistician and epidemiologist with expertise in detecting and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks and vaccine safety evaluations. He also serves on scientific advisory committees to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. His credentials and decades of work as a Harvard epidemiologist clearly puts him among the most elite scholars to address issues of the pandemic, if not head and tail above the rest.
Two weeks ago, Dr. Kulldorff gave an interview with the Epoch Times that needs to be seen by every American. Please, after you read this column, watch it here, and hear for yourself the shocking information he shares. I was mesmerized and even watched it twice because of the facts Dr. Kulldorff shared about the government and media’s shortcomings and even lies regarding COVID-19, vaccines for kids, lockdowns, mandates, natural immunity, vaccinated v. unvaccinated, etc. It was refreshing to hear Dr. Kulldorff speak as a scholar and scientist without political bias or concern about repercussions from the left or the right.
Among the surprising and enlightening information he shared, Dr. Kulldorf said:
- “Mandates are bad” because they completely overlook Americans’ diversity of health and the power of natural immunity. “[Mandates] must be something political because from a public health point of view, [they] make no sense at all.”
- It is “very strange” how the power of natural immunity has been ignored. Natural immunity from COVID-19 is 27 times “stronger and longer-lasting” than vaccines, but pandemic officials and politicians don’t seem to ever share that critical information.
- The demonizing of the unvaccinated in society is “very scary. That is not the way civilized and just societies work, creating the ‘clean’ and the ‘unclean.’” The vaccinated are much more dangerous to spread the virus than those with natural immunity, but vaccinated are never demeaned or compared to those who have natural immunity.
- Hospitals and nursing homes should hire nurses and other staff with natural immunity, who have already had COVID-19, as “they are the ones who are least likely to infect the residents. [Yet] we’re doing the opposite. They’re being fired.”

Why do we so often have to relearn history’s lesson that more government intervention and overreach rarely if ever works?
Americans’ responses to the overlording and dictates of government reminds me of the motto on the Gadsden flag from the Revolutionary War. With its timber rattlesnake coiled to strike in a bright yellow background, the words at the bottom of the flag say it all: “Don’t Tread on Me!”
Maybe the Oval Office occupant might want to take a closer look at the words often overlooked in the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
