What actor Wil Wheaton tweeted during the Dallas shooting will make your head explode

Wil Wheaton blames the NRA for Dallas

Remember Wil Wheaton?  He’s the guy who played Wesley Crusher on the 1990s television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”  He’s since become an unhinged online left-wing blogger.  While police officers in Dallas were being killed by a black radical, Wheaton tweeted this:

Yeah, he went there, even as officers in Dallas were under fire.

According to a post on Tumblr, he explained:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

I said F**k the NRA during the Dallas shootings because if the NRA wasn’t holding our nation hostage with its insanity, the person or persons who murdered those police in Dallas last night probably wouldn’t have been able to have such easy access to a weapon of quick, efficient, and easy killing.

A lot of NRA supporters like to go on and on about how everyone should own military-style weapons, so they can rise up against the government. Well, guess what, NRA? That happened last night. The police are part of the government, and someone did exactly what the NRA has been dogwhistling to its supporters for decades.

So f**k the NRA.

Got that?  According to Wheaton, it’s all the NRA’s fault.

An op-ed posted at The Hill responded:

You want to know what the protestors at the scene were doing while partisan hacks were using keyboards as hate weapons? Thanking the Dallas Police Department for serving them and protecting them, even as their brother and sisters in blue lay dying on the streets.

While some people wanted more hate, wanted more division, wanted to prove that once and for all their side was glorious and the other side was at fault; the black Dallas police chief and the city’s white mayor were fighting back tears and working to protect a city with an active situation still under way.

(Truman Project CEO Mike) Breen is right. This country is better than Walsh or Wheaton; but we have been so conditioned in the current state of politics to run to our ‘team’ jerseys of red and blue on every issue, that we forget that we are supposed to be all together in the face of tragedy.

Liberalism, as I’ve said time and again, is an ideology of rage and hate.  Unfortunately, liberals like Wheaton prove that assertion correct on just about any given day.
