Five are dead, and at least five are injured after an active shooting incident at Abundant Life Christian School (K-12) in Madison, Wisconsin. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:57 A.M., local time on Monday, December 16. The shooter was a student at the school, but police said they did not know whether the shooter was a male or female. The shooter was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot when police arrived. The scene was described as “horrific” as it is whenever kids are the victims.
Initial reports were 12 injured, although later information stated 5 dead, 5 injured. The information on the total of 5 dead came during a Madison Police press briefing.

Abundant Life Christian School has around 230 students, k-12. It is a private school. At this writing, it is unknown how many students versus how many staff were injured or killed.
Are Christian schools now the targets? Is this shooter a transgender and that’s why police were unable to identify male or female? The Nashville shooting at Covenant School in 2023 was done by a transgender former student.
