State Department on ISIS- They just need good jobs

Marie Harf, a State Department spokeswoman, has been sniffing glue. Or something. She told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in a TV interview Monday night that the way to combat ISIS is with a jobs program.

“We’re killing a lot of them, and we’re going to keep killing more of them. … But we cannot win this war by killing them.We need … to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs … the U.S. should work with other countries to “help improve their governance” and “help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people.”

It’s really hard to argue with stupidity. When someone is that dumb, it’s tough to say anything. Chris Matthews pointed out that there will always be poor Muslims.  The problem was that she kept talking.

“If we can help these countries get to the roots causes of this–what makes these 17 year olds take up an AK-47 instead of starting a business?”

Huh?

This kind of bleeding heart liberalism is why we are facing an avalanche of terrorism across the globe. The idea that all people are rational beings is decidedly foolish. They are not.You cannot argue with people whose entire life is focused on killing and hatred.

Let’s send  little Miss Marie to Raqqa, Syria and let her talk with the leaders of ISIS and see how far it gets her.  Sure go ahead, offer them “real employment” with real money…they will decline it. Why? Because their killing sprees are being paid for now – they have jobs that bring them fame, fortune, and power.

Indoctrination…hatred..ambition…greed…power…if you send money or other items to those things, you do not get rational actions in return. You don’t get someone setting up a construction company to give everyone a job. You get your money’s worth in smuggled arms. You get a shipment of US Stinger missiles sent to a bunch of terrorists in Libya and the diplomats who might have helped with that murdered.  You get a bigger, badder, more dangerous terrorist organization that welcomes fighters from all over the world.

We  must destroy the Islamic State. Not “manage it,” not “control it,” not “give it better jobs.” Go home, Marie Harf. You’re drunk.
