“Woke” Congress – Pelosi, McGovern Propose Eliminating Gender References

Denying real science in favor of some weird form of “inclusiveness,” Nancy Pelosi and Rep Jim McGovern, are creating a “woke” Congress in proposed rules changes that do away with all gender references. So, no more “father, mother, sister, daughter, son” in Congressional paperwork. “Seamen” becomes “seafarers.” The House will vote on them in the new session. (Breitbart) But THAT is not all the new rules changes will do.

“father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister, grandson, or granddaughter.”…

In place of those will be…”parent, child, sibling, parent’s sibling, first cousin, sibling’s child, spouse, parent-in-law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, stepparent, stepchild, stepsibling, half-sibling, or grandchild…”

Wait, “first cousin” is not a gendered word. Woke Congress. Right. “Child-in-law” and “sibling-in-law” are going to be quite the tongue twisters.

Pelosi never learned the real lesson from the vandalism of her garage door. She’s still pandering to the left, still being the fool that we’ve always known her to be. Her proposal, made in conjunction with Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern establishes the “inclusive” idea. And requires House members to keep “diversity” in mind in their hiring practices.

Priorities and Ethics changes in the woke Congress:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yes

That includes through changes that would remove floor privileges from former Members convicted of crimes related to their House service or election; make it a violation of the Code of Official Conduct for a Member, officer, or employee of the House to disclose the identity of a whistleblower; make it a violation of the Code of Official Conduct for a Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the House to disseminate manipulated media, including photos and videos, known as “deepfakes;” strengthen Truth in Testimony disclosures to provide Members and the public with more information on the witnesses appearing before committees; protect whistleblowers in the House from being retaliated against for providing truthful information; and make permanent an office dedicated to providing assistance and training to congressional staff in order to properly and securely handle whistleblowers who reach out to congressional offices.

Newsflash: not all “whistleblowers” provide truthful information, as we saw during the House impeachment process. One of the so-called “whistleblowers” wasn’t even on the Ukraine call in the first place, and was deeply biased against the President to start with, as were most of the “witnesses.” It wasn’t a “transparent” process at all – even some of the GOP members were forbidden to ask questions during the proceedings.

Not all of the parts of the rules changes are bad, but watch out for the manipulation of GOP House members. The new proposal will be voted on when Congress comes back to session.
