Wikileaks Director Found Dead – is it Coincidence?

Gavin Macfadyen,76, was found dead on Saturday, October 22. He was a mentor and close friend of Wikileaks CEO Julian Assange, a Director of Wikileaks, and the founder of the Center for Investigative Journalism. His cause of death has not been released.

“He was the model of what a journalist should be… He spearheaded the creation of a journalistic landscape which has irrevocably lifted the bar for ethical and hard-hitting reporting. Gavin worked tirelessly to hold power to account.

His life and how he lived it were completely in sync with the principles that he held dear and practiced as a journalist and educator – to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.” Susan Benn, Macfadyen’s wife

In his wife’s original post, she mentioned that Gavin had passed from a “short illness.” Later, that line was removed. No further word has been released on the cause of his death.

Coincidence?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

We can only hope this courageous journalist (a real one) passed from this life to the next by natural means. Given the timing of his death, it makes us wonder.

Wikileaks is currently under a constant barrage of attacks after releasing thousands of emails sent to them by an unknown entity that are a “thorn in the side” of Hillary’s campaign. They’ve been accused of interfering in the US election and being an arm of the Russian government. They’ve been accused of releasing fake information (it’s not). Their CEO had his internet cut off…and the list goes on.

So the timing is…interesting.

This video interview, done earlier in 2016 with RT, talks about the power of the Wikileaks releases.Though he mentions that there is “only one known Snowden,” he wishes that more whistleblowers will come forward to shed light on major corruption.
