Why Are People Afraid To Live Their Normal Lives?

Has our rapidly changing culture caused you to significantly alter the way that you live your life?  If so, you are definitely not alone.  Thanks to rapidly rising crime rates, unchecked illegal immigrationrecord high mass shootingsrampant homelessness and the worst drug crisis in U.S. history, millions of Americans are now scared to live their lives the way that they once did.  Social decay is spreading like a very aggressive form of cancer all over the country, and to a lot of us it seems like a very substantial portion of the population has completely lost their minds.  The thin veneer of civilization that we all depend upon on a daily basis is disappearing very quickly, and the outlook for the future of our society is extremely bleak.

Let me give you a perfect example of what I am talking about.

According to ABC News, mail carriers are now being robbed so frequently that they are formally demanding the U.S. Postal Service to do something about it…

Postal carriers have more worries than snow, rain or the gloom of night keeping them from their appointed rounds. They’re increasingly being robbed, often at gunpoint, from Maine to California.

Robberies of postal carriers have exploded, surging 78% to nearly 500 in 2022, according to data provided by U.S. Postal Inspection Service to The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act.

Letter carriers are demanding action from the U.S. Postal Service.

Once upon a time, being a mail carrier was a pretty good job.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

But now there are many communities where you would literally be putting your life at risk just to deliver the mail.

In Portland, the social decay in the streets has become so pervasive that many people are literally afraid to walk outside of their own homes…

Shocking new images show Portland’s mounting homeless crisis as encampments take over streets and sidewalks – and fed-up residents want the city to take action.

Local authorities in Oregon are also considering calling in the National Guard to help with Portland’s homeless issue – while residents reveal they now no longer walk in certain areas because of the drug and encampment problem.

Isn’t that sad?

But instead of doing something about it, some Democrats in Oregon actually want to “decriminalize” all of the illegal homeless encampments…

This follows news that Democrat lawmakers in Oregon want to decriminalize homeless camps with a law that would allow the people who live in them to sue for $1,000 if they’re harassed or told to leave.

The hugely-controversial bill claims ‘decriminalization of rest’ would allow city leaders to ‘redirect’ cash from law enforcement into measures that ‘address the root causes of homelessness and poverty’.

If that measure becomes law, imagine what life in Portland will be like from now on.

A very large group of drug addicts could establish a tent city in the street right in front of your home, and you would be powerless to do anything about it.

In New York City, many residents refuse to ride the subway any longer because violent crime has become so widespread…

In February, the New York Police Department (NYPD) reported 169 cases of major crime on the nation’s largest subway system.

169 cases of “major crime” on the subway in just one month?

So how many cases of “minor crime” were there?

I wish that they would give us that figure.

In some of our largest cities, conditions have now gotten so bad that it is actually motivating many businesses to leave for greener pastures.  For instance, last year billionaire Ken Griffin literally moved his entire hedge fund from one city to another

Last September, billionaire Ken Griffin announced he was pulling up stakes and moving Citadel—his gigantic hedge fund—from Chicago to Miami.

The Windy City was out of control, he told Bloomberg, something that dawned on him after a colleague made a coffee run and was robbed by a thief who put “a gun to his head.”

I certainly can’t blame him.

At this point, I don’t know why anyone would still want to be in Chicago.

Large numbers of businesses are also leaving San Francisco.  In fact, this week we learned that T-Mobile has actually decided to permanently shut down their flagship store in San Francisco

T-Mobile has become the latest major retailer to close a flagship store in San Francisco as the city faces a business exodus due to ‘rampant criminal activity’.

The decision by the telecoms giant to shutter its premises in Union Square follows similar announcements last week by Saks Off 5th and Nordstrom.

T-Mobile said the closure of its two-level, 17,000-sq-ft building in the heart of San Francisco’s was part of its ‘nationwide retail strategy to better take care of customers’.

T-Mobile is supposed to be an extremely “progressive” company.

But even they can’t put up with the extreme social decay in San Francisco.

Needless to say, I could share countless other examples with you.  This mass exodus from blue states and blue cities has been going on for quite some time, and the states and cities that are being “left behind” are losing staggering amounts of tax revenue

Data show that several populous blue states—California, New York, and Illinois among them—have been losing population and companies for years. In 2021 Forbes wrote about “leftugees” fleeing blue states for red ones. A few years before that, a headline in The Hill touched on “the great exodus out of America’s blue cities.”

New IRS data, however, show the speed with which blue states are losing taxpayers—and their adjusted gross income (AGI)—is increasing. A recent Wall Street Journal analysis found that more than 100,000 people left Illinois in 2021, taking with them some $11 billion in AGI, nearly double its 2019 total. For New York it was $24.5 billion, an increase of more than 150 percent from 2019. California, meanwhile, saw its AGI loss ($29 billion) more than triple since 2019.

Of course some Americans are leaving normal society behind entirely.

Earlier today, I came across a story about a family in Georgia that now lives in a 6,000-square-foot underground bunker

Internet consultant Ruben Romero moved with his wife Joan and their four children Eden, Enoch, Zion and Celestial into a 6,000-square-foot nuclear-resistant former communications bunker in June 2020.

The unusual abode – built in the 1960s by telecommunications company AT&T out of reinforced concrete – cost the the family around $300,000 with a 13-acre plot of land included and despite years of toil, the renovation process is still underway.

I couldn’t imagine living underground with no windows.

But if nuclear missiles start falling they will be more prepared than most of the rest of us.

I just wish that we could go back to the way that things once were in this country.

Once upon a time, America was a shining example of peace and prosperity for the rest of the world.

But now our society is melting down all around us, and our problems are only going to accelerate throughout the rest of this year and beyond.
