What? Black Caucus Dems physically protects anti-Semite Ilhan Omar from reporters

Citing a tweet from Politico reporter Melanie Zanona, Twitchy said that Democrat members of the Congressional Black Caucus literally formed a circle around Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, and physically held reporters at arm’s length in what seems to be an apparent effort to keep Omar from answering for her anti-Semitic bigotry.

“Leaving CBC meeting, members formed a circle around and Marcia Fudge literally stuck her arm out to prevent reporters from asking her questions. Then a few members hugged Omar, including Al Lawson,” Zanona tweeted.

Others responded:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

We expect somewhere between zero and zilch.

We agree.

Yes, but she’s a member of a protected class, and being a Democrat, she gets to exercise her liberal privilege.

Hardly…

Twitchy also tells us that House Democrats — specifically those in the Black Caucus and the Progressive Caucus — are now pushing for a delay on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism.

According to a Bloomberg report:

House Democrats erupted into a full-scale brawl Wednesday, challenging leaders over indirectly sanctioning freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar for alleged anti-Semitic remarks amid an outcry over party inaction to President Trump’s divisive comments on race.

In a closed-door session, Democrats protested plans to vote this week on a resolution condemning religious hatred, a measure prompted by Omar’s comments last week suggesting supporters of Israel have “allegiance to a foreign country.”

The remarks have exploded into a larger debate over how Congress should respond to individual racial and religious grievances. It also touched off Democratic concerns that the splintering was overshadowing the newfound majority’s agenda, with Republicans seeking to capitalize politically on the divide.

“I think there’s a big rise in anti-Semitism and racism, and that’s a bigger conversation we need to be having.” Louisiana Democrat Rep. Cedric L. Richmond said. “But it starts at 1600 Pennsylvania. It doesn’t start with one member out of 435 members of Congress.”

So, Democrats now apparently think it’s Trump’s fault that Omar is an anti-Semite and they’re ready to do whatever it takes to keep her from answering for her bigotry.

Got it.

This, by the way, is the modern Democrat Party.  Let that sink in.
