Weapons-grade stupid: Former Hillary spokesman blames military strike against Syria on Susan Sarandon
On Friday, Jesse Ferguson, a former spokesman for Hillary Clinton, the most evil person ever nominated to the White House by a major party, seemed to blame President Trump’s strike against Syrian chemical warfare capabilities on — wait for it — actress Susan Sarandon.
According to the Daily Caller:
Sarandon, who ultimately supported Jill Stein for president in 2016, was roundly criticized for helping “throw the election to Trump.” Clinton herself addressed the possibility in her book, “What Happened.”
Ferguson started with a tweet that got into “Trump brain” and dissected the possible motivation for a strike against Syria.
(Trump Brain)
"I gotta make cable news cover something else.
And I can't fire Mueller yet, coverage would be bad.
I know! I'll bomb someone.
Bolton, come in here. Bring the mustache."

He followed that up with this:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
I'd like to congratulate Susan Sarandon

Sarandon, however, was ready for Ferguson’s attack, and quickly reminded him that his former boss advocated retaliatory strikes on Syria the last time the regime used chemical agents against civilian targets, using a link to a Reuters article:

Just two days after a chemical attack killed some 70 people in 2017, Clinton “called for the United States to bomb Syrian air fields,” Reuters said at the time.
The report added:
Asked whether she now believes that failing to take a tougher stand against Syria was her worst foreign policy mistake as secretary of state under President Barack Obama, Clinton said she favored more aggressive action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“I think we should have been more willing to confront Assad,” Clinton said in the interview, conducted by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof.
“I really believe we should have and still should take out his air fields and prevent him from being able to use them to bomb innocent people and drop sarin gas on them.”
Clinton noted that she had advocated for a no-fly zone in Syria after leaving government, something that Obama opposed.
Hmmm…
One person, meanwhile, minced no words, calling Ferguson a “thoroughly dishonest individual.”

Well, he DID work for Clinton, so…
Glenn Greenwald also hammered Ferguson for trying to blame Sarandon:
Aside from the warped mind that causes someone to attack Susan Sarandon as bombs fall on Syria (again), you may want to read this from the person you worked for: https://t.co/frIpNUM6m1
— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) April 14, 2018
Greenwald also called Ferguson “deceitful” and “mentally warped.”
That you still blame Susan Sarandon for your own professional and personal failures – and those of your leader – is genuinely sad. That you're doing it tonight is mentally warped. And that you're pretending Clinton didn't fully advocate this bombing is deceitful.

Sarandon, the Daily Caller said, “revealed that she had faced threats of death and rape from Clinton supporters following the 2016 election, said in a 2017 interview that she believed America would already be at war if Clinton had won the election.”
“I did think she was very, very dangerous,” she said. “We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she was president]. It wouldn’t be much smoother. Look what happened under Obama that we didn’t notice.”
As for Sarandon being to blame for the strike against Syria, let’s just call that what it is: Weapons-grade stupid.
