Vox criminal justice writer: Eric ‘Nuke ‘Em’ Swalwell’s idea to jail gun owners doesn’t go far enough

California Democrat Eric Swalwell is running for president, and has announced that he’ll be focusing on gun control with a platform of confiscation.  Law-abiding gun owners who don’t go along would face jail under Swalwell’s proposal.  But it seems that doesn’t go far enough for German Lopez, the criminal justice, guns and drugs correspondent for the far-left media outlet Vox.

Swalwell said he’d like to confiscate only “certain” weapons, especially those he feels are too scary for the average American to own.

But Lopez said he wants ALL semiautomatic firearms confiscated.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Note to Swalwell: So-called “weapons of war” are already illegal…  What Swalwell really means are guns that LOOK like something that might be carried in combat.

Lopez, however, didn’t like Swalwell’s proposal.

Of course, New Zealand doesn’t have a Second Amendment…

So, what would Lopez do?  Here ya go:

Naturally, this didn’t sit too well.

Good question.  And good luck with that.

We can’t help but wonder who would go first to grab them?  Lopez or Swalwell?

And it seems the last time a government tried to do something like that here, it ended in a revolution…
