Video of the Day: Dem Rep. Pressley Claims Police System Emerged From Practice of Capturing Blacks Escaping Slavery

Leftists hate America, and they hate police so much they are willing to do  or say anything to justify defunding the organizations charged with keeping the peace and protecting Americans from the criminal element.

One of those working to ensure that Americans are left to the mercy of those who engage in violent criminal activity is Ayanna Pressley, a Democrat House member of the radical far-left “Squad.”

Pressley, it seems, has the idea that our modern system of policing is derived from the practice of capturing blacks who were in the process of escaping slavery.  We’re not sure where she got that idea — perhaps she is merely parroting something she either heard or read by a fellow leftist.

At any rate, here she is asking that very question during what appears to be an online hearing on police reform:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Pressley: “Mr. Crenshaw, is it fair to say that the policing system in our nation grew out of the practice of capturing and often murdering individuals trying to escape from slavery? Could you speak to just the history of our policing system and how you see that influencing modern-day police?”

This is outrageous.
