Video: Dem Rep. Hank Johnson suggests impeaching Trump for being taller than Zelensky, imagines kidnap of foreign leader’s daughter

The stupid was on full display Thursday as Democrats spent hour upon grueling hour repeating the same tired old lies and innuendo during Jerrold Nadler’s sham impeachment hearing.  One of the more bizarre statements, however, came from Rep. Hank Johnson, the Georgia Democrat who wondered if Guam would tip over during a hearing in 2010.

During his speech, he seemed to suggest that President Trump be impeached because he’s taller than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and then he imagined a situation in which Trump might kidnap Zelensky’s daughter, and tie her up with duct tape in the basement.

“Well, I’ll tell you that brings to mind the picture of President Trump and President Zelensky meeting in New York in September at the U.N. and a big chair for President Trump, little chair for President Zelensky,” he said.

“Big, six-foot-four President Trump, five-foot-eleven President Zelensky. And they’re standing there, President Trump is holding court, and he says, ‘Oh, by the way, no pressure,'” Johnson added. “And you saw President Zelensky shaking his head as if his daughter was downstairs in the basement, duct-taped.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“I mean, there’s an imbalance of power in that relationship. It always has been,” Johnson further said. “And there’s no way that the nation of Ukraine can stand up to the power, the power of the United States of America. And President Trump used that unequal bargaining position, he leveraged his power in that relationship, not for the benefit of the United States of America, but for his own benefit.”

Here’s video of his insane rant as posted to Twitter:

The White House fired back with a snarky message and a picture showing Johnson’s claim to be totally false.

“JUST IN: Democrats want to impeach the President for [checks notes] being too tall,” the White House said.

Please… Don’t give them any ideas.

Perhaps Johnson was joking.  Then again, maybe he wasn’t, given his history of stupid statements.
