Video: CNN hack Chris Cuomo threatens physical violence against Trump supporter; CNN spox defends Cuomo

In a YouTube video released Monday by an independent journalist with “That’s the Point with Brandon,” CNN propagandist Chris Cuomo is seen verbally berating and threatening a man identified as a Trump supporter with physical violence after he was referred to as “Fredo.”  Since this post first went up, the video has been deleted from YouTube for allegedly violating the site’s standards, but it remains on Twitter — for now, anyway.

“I’ll f**king ruin your shit. I’ll f**king throw you down these stairs like a f**king punk,” Cuomo told the man.  In all, Newsbusters said, Cuomo used the “f-bomb” some 25 times during the incident.

Nicholas Fondacaro set the stage for the incident:

Before the video started rolling, the unidentified man apparently called Cuomo by the name “Fredo.” The name was a stinging nickname stemming from the disgraced Fedo Corleone character in The Godfather film. Over the years, it’s been a favorite jab at him from people on the right. But according to Cuomo, it was an ethnic slur on par with the “N-word”

Fondacaro said that “[a]s a second-generation Italian-American, this author has never heard ‘Fredo’ used as an ethnic slur, let alone it being on the same level as the ‘N-word’. It’s normally an insult meaning the person was the black sheep of the family, or the lesser in a family.”

And, he added, “Fredo” is short for “Alfredo,” so it would be odd that a family would name their child with an ethnic slur.

Fondacaro posted a transcript from the two-minute video, parts of which can be seen below (Warning — graphic language):

UNIDENTIFIED MAN 1: I thought that’s who you were.

CHRIS CUOMO: No, punk ass bitches from the right call me Fredo. My name is Chris Cuomo, I’m an anchor on CNN.

Fredo is from The Godfather. He was that weak brother. And they use it as an Italian aspersion. Any of you Italian?

MAN: I got a little bit Italian.

CUOMO: Are you Italian? It’s a fucking insult to your people.

UNIDENTIFIED MAN 2 (from off-camera): I didn’t know that.

CUOMO: It’s an insult to your fucking people. It’s like the N-word for us. Is that a cool fucking thing?

There’s more, with Cuomo acting the tough guy, threatening to do physical harm to the other man:

MAN 1: I don’t have a problem with you man.

CUOMO: You’re going to have a fucking problem.

MAN 1: What? What are you going to do about it?

CUOMO: I’ll fucking ruin your shit. I’ll fucking throw you down these stairs like a fucking punk.

MAN 1: Please do.

CUOMO: Why, so you can fucking sue?

MAN 1: You don’t want to do that. You don’t want to do that.

CUOMO: So you can fucking sue?

MAN 1: But why don’t you do that then?

CUOMO: Then take a fucking swing. You want to call me Fredo then take a fucking swing.

MAN 1: I’m not going to take a swing at you.

CUOMO (presumably at Man 2): Watch your fucking hands.

“Take a swing. No, no. Come on boy. You want to call me sh*t, call me sh*t then. I’m right f**king here,” Cuomo said. “I’ll f**king wreck your sh*t. I’ll f**king wreck your sh*t.”

After the video went viral, CNN spokesperson Matt Dornic defended Cuomo’s profanity-laced threat of violence.

Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him,” Dornic said on Twitter.

CNN legal analyst Elie Honig also defended Cuomo, and actively endorsed Cuomo’s profane threat.

But, one person said on Twitter, it’s not the first time Cuomo has heard the term, which Fondacaro says is NOT a slur, and he didn’t even bat an eye.

Twitchy posted more reaction from Twitter:

Indeed

Actually, they’re defending it and applauding it.

Twitchy further wondered: “Maybe @cnnpr will have something for us soon — but we doubt it.”

Remember, THIS is CNN.  Let that sink in for a moment.
