Today, December 9, 2024, Marine veteran Daniel Penny was acquitted of negligent homicide by a “jury of his peers” for the chokehold on Jordan Neely. The verdict comes as a judge tried to force a guilty verdict for the lesser charge by dismissing the most serious charge of manslaughter. Sorry DA Bragg, your plan failed. Now we wait to see if New York City will burn, since a plethora of BLM protesters screamed outside the courthouse that the “system was rigged” and that “America hates Black people.” Never mind that many of the folks on that subway car were Black and terrified of Neely.
Daniel Penny was not arrested on the day of the death of Jordan Neely. The DA Bragg waited to arrest him 10 days later after leftist protests broke out around the city. It was an arrest that never should have occurred, and the charges of manslaughter and negligent homicide should never have been levelled against him. He is a hero.

Among Neely’s family and supporters, there was a much different reaction. Court officers asked two people to leave because of their enraged comments and demeanor.The verdict brings a conclusion to a closely watched trial that took a little over one month, from voir dire and the seating of a jury at the end of October to witness testimony throughout November up to this week’s closing statements and jury deliberations.
Witnesses were unanimous that Neely got onto an uptown F train at Manhattan’s Second Avenue station and immediately began screaming that he was hungry, homeless, and did not care if he went back to prison.” The Epoch Times
Neely was reportedly on a list of 50 people that were homeless, mentally ill and extremely needy. He was bigger than Daniel Penny and shrieking that he was going to kill people. He had a long criminal record and history of assaulting people. Thank goodness for someone with strength and good intentions who stepped forward to protect the citizens on that subway.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
No matter what happens in New York City tonight or in the days to come, we now know that justice was done for Daniel Penny.
