UPS Allegedly Terminated Accounts of Firearms Companies

UPS allegedly terminated the accounts of firearms companies, and stated that any packages in their system would be seized and destroyed. The situation was first reported by Lee Williams at The Truth About Guns. Is this backlash from the 2A wins at the Supreme Court? Is this real? Or has UPS shot itself in the foot (no pun intended)?

“We write to inform you that UPS has learned that your company may be violating applicable laws concerning the shipment of “ghost guns” to unauthorized locations,” the letter states. “In light of our concern, UPS has determined that it will cancel your account, effective immediately.
Ghost’s owner, Joe Zatar was told all scheduled pickups will be cancelled, and that he cannot reopen another UPS account or ship anything from a UPS store or website.

He is most concerned about the packages already in the UPS system, which he may have already lost.

“Please note that any package found in the UPS system determined to have been tendered by GHOST FIREARMS may be seized and destroyed,” the letter states.

“I just shipped more than $30,000 worth of products,” he said.

Another company, Brownells, (Iowa) also reportedly said that UPS had terminated their account with the same threat, although they removed the Facebook post that stated it. They sell both firearms and gun parts. The company “Ghost Firearms” (Florida) aka Grid Defense, stated that they never ship to places where it is illegal, and that the ATF signed off on their practices just two weeks prior. They sell uppers, lowers, 80% receivers, handguards and OEM parts for numerous manufacturers.

Is this a joke by an ignorant anti-gunner? Or leftist backlash stemming from the win at the Supreme Court regarding the New York concealed carry law? The Biden administration rule on “ghost guns” goes into effect August 24, 2022, so this action would be premature. Is this letter a real one?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

According to the Ghost Firearms/GRID Defense website, there are NO shipping interruptions and all orders are processing normally.

UPS would be foolish to do this, especially when the businesses involved are in compliance with the law. It is unclear at this point why Brownells removed their facebook post. If true, this is a disturbing development in the war against legal gun owners. We will update this article when we find out the answer.
