In what can only be seen as a propaganda hit piece, Time magazine showed President Trump scowling at a crying little child on its cover, giving the impression that the chief executive doesn’t care about children being separated from their families at the border. But, the UK Daily Mail reported, the father of that two-year-old toddler said the girl was never separated from her family by border control agents.
I spoke to the father of the little Honduran girl photographed crying at the border. He says he has yet to speak to his wife and daughter but reveals they were never separated and are 'safe' https://t.co/SkZ7VHKlqc

There’s more — much more.
According to the Daily Mail:
Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told yesterday that his wife and child are being detained at a family residential center in Texas but are together and are doing ‘fine.’
‘You can imagine how I felt when I saw that photo of my daughter. It broke my heart. It’s difficult as a father to see that, but I know now that they are not in danger. They are safer now than when they were making that journey to the border,’ he said.
According to Denis, his wife and daughter were never separated by border control agents and remain together.
So much for the propaganda.
And there’s more. According to Denis, his wife paid a smuggler to get her and the girl across the border:
Denis said that he believes the journey across the border is only worth it to some degree, and admits that it’s not something he would ever consider.
He said he heard from friends that his wife paid $6,000 for a coyote – a term for someone who smuggles people across the border.
‘I wouldn’t risk my life for it. It’s hard to find a good job here and that’s why many people choose to leave. But I thank God that I have a good job here. And I would never risk my life making that journey.’
So where did the photo of the crying girl come from?
The report explains:
(Getty photographer John) Moore, who has worked on the border with Mexico for years and has won a Pulitzer for his photography, has said the the image of Yanela was the last one he took that night.
Speaking to People magazine he said that the girl’s mother was the last to be searched and a female agent asked her to put Yanela down so she could pat her down.
Moore said: ‘The mother hesitated and then set down the little girl and the child immediately started crying.
“As a father, it was very emotional for me just to hear those cries. When I saw this little girl break down in tears I wanted to comfort this child,” Moore said. “But as a photojournalist we sometimes have to keep photographing when things are hard. And tell a story that people would never see.”
Naturally, the Democrats used the photo as part of their propaganda campaign, even though the girl was not separated from her mother:
This photo is absolutely heartbreaking. Republicans control the House and Senate. They have the power to end Trump’s cruel policy of separating children from their families but continue to remain silent. https://t.co/CfZlxrOYEN

Others also spread the propaganda lie:
This is Trump’s America. What’s going to happen to this 2-year-old Honduran girl? The new policy is to separate her from her mother. Shame!!! pic.twitter.com/vy6HtRupQE

The government is illegally separating children from parents seeking asylum.
Stop calling this Trump’s America. He lives in our America. It's on us – The People – to stand up against these atrocities.

This is beyond horrific. I cannot imagine having to seek asylum from the place I was from… (how dangerous must it have been there for me to just leave everything behind?) And then to have my child ripped from my arms once I got the place that I hoped would protect us both? https://t.co/yB9KzamVJ1

And of course, was used by Time:
POWERFUL cover from @Time.
Welcome to America.
Sadly, torturing children by snatching them from their parents – and then sending them off with strangers thousands of miles away is how Donald Trump feels powerful. pic.twitter.com/DZ68J1a666

The Daily Wire noted:
Major national news publications ran with the image, noting that it was now the face of the campaign against the Trump administration’s immigration policy of separating families at the border even though this has been going on for years and is not new to his administration.
CNN wrote: “The crying girl is quickly becoming the human face of President Donald Trump’s new “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, which has resulted in separations of undocumented parents and kids.”-
USA Today wrote: “Since June 12, the photo has been shared thousands of times on social media and is currently the cover photo for a Facebook campaign raising money for legal fees to reunite children separated from their parents at the border.”
The Washington Post wrote: “By now, millions of people have seen a photo of a 2-year-old girl screaming while a U.S. border agent pats down her mother. Taken last Tuesday, the image has become a symbol of the Trump administration’s new ‘zero tolerance’ border policies, which have caused hundreds of children to be removed from the parents who brought them here.”
Now that the lie has been exposed, will the Democrat-media complex do a mea culpa? Of course not, because the media isn’t interested in telling the truth — it only seeks to spread liberal propaganda — even if it ends up getting someone killed.
