Universities Target Whites for “White Consciousness”

Universities ‘target’ whites and think they should sit and contemplate their “whiteness” and figure out how screwed up they are so that there can be “equality.” Liberals only seem to think about two things: race and sex. Everything appears to be centered around those two issues in their narrow little world.

The “white privilege” issue

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte advertised a “White Consciousness” event. It was on their website, then it was taken down after attention came to it. Fox reported that school officials took it down to change the description to make sure people understood that it was open to anyone…but white people were still the target of the conversation.

“This is exactly what we critique the left of. This is another type of segregation that we fought so hard to end 60 years ago.” Charlie Kirk, Founder of Turning Point USA to Fox News

The University of Maryland sponsored an event a week prior called “White Awake.” Same purpose, same conversation, different words. They had to change the name.

Fox reported,

Noah Collins, who leads the group and specializes in group therapy for the Counseling Center with an interest in “racial and cultural awareness,” issued a statement Thursday night saying UMD will discontinue the flyer and consider changing the name, but that it stands by the group.

He added the flyer was “not clear enough” in explaining that the group’s aim is “anti-racism and becoming a better ally.”

The university told Fox News in a statement that UMD’s Counseling Center acknowledges it “did not choose the right words in raising awareness about this research-based initiative, and how this group has been perceived is counter to the values of inclusiveness and diversity that we embody.”

“This is an incredibly difficult, nuanced issue, and that’s the reason we need to discuss it,” Collins wrote. “The aim of this group is to help white students become more culturally competent, so they can better participate in creating a more inclusive environment at the University of Maryland.”

That’s a very good question. Why do the liberals continually push on people to take “therapy” or “discuss” their “whiteness” which is simply another way of segregating society?

Remember back in 2015, Mizzou made a “safe space” for black students and refused to let white students go there (their enrollment is down by the way). They wanted ‘equality’, but they wanted nothing to do with other races.

Maybe if everybody grew up under the “Golden Rule” – do to others what you want them to do to you, all this garbage would disappear. People would learn to be civil to one another regardless of skin color, or political leanings.  Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen any time soon.
