Unhinged Portland BLM Activist: Police Officers Should Have Been Strangled By Their Umbilical Cords (Video)

We’re constantly told that Black Lives Matter is a peaceful movement. Really?

By design, BLM is an umbrella organization that has many loosely-affiliated chapters bearing its name.

But we’ve seen that some of these off-shoots are headed up by people that are extremists, and some of the “activists” are just awful people.

That seems to be the case with one of the Portland BLM activists, Letha Winston.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yes

Here is Winston was a couple of weeks ago leading a “No Justice, No Peace” chant and demanding police officers resign from law enforcement.

On Sunday afternoon, a peaceful protest was organized to remember Patrick Kimmons, a 27-year old man who was shot and killed by police in 2018.

Letha Winston is the mother of Patrick Kimmons and she spoke at the event.

What she said was just astounding.

First, she referred to the members of the crowd as her “comrades.”

Then she bizarrely said that the KKK “has no place in Portland” and that both the KKK and the Portland police need to be defunded.

Does she think that the government funds the Ku Klux Klan?

Is the KKK even an issue in Portland? How many Klansmen could there possibly in that very progressive place?

It seriously doesn’t make any sense.

Clearly she’s been deeply affected by the death of her son.

Now, I’m not one to crap on a grieving mother, but Winston went way beyond forgivable grief and anger when she suggested that police officers should have been strangled by their own umbilical cords.

She also says that she’s armed and if the police shoot at her, she’s shooting back.

Winston calls all police “filthy animals” and wants to see them lynched and electrocuted.

Drew Hernandez caught her comments on video and later confirmed that the speaker was indeed Letha Winston.

That is vile and unhinged.

Well-adjusted people don’t wish for the deaths of babies at birth.

This mother who has lost her son is hurt and thinks he has been denied justice–I get that. But is it okay to spout off her sick, death fantasies about police and advocating actual violence against them? No, no that’s not okay.

But let’s be frank for a second–Winston’s son wasn’t “hunted down and killed” by police.

Here’s a quick rundown of what happened.

On September 30, 2018, two Portland PD officers were providing additional security to the bar scene and prevent gang violence from breaking out. At around 3 am, a fight did break out between two men, and as the officers approached a group of people, Kimmons fired 5 shots and wounded the two men that were fighting. Then, he ran away–straight towards the police. The officers fired 12 shots total and Kimmons was hit 9 times. Kimmons was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. One witness said that although it appeared that Kimmons was running towards the police without realizing it, the way he was holding his gun would make the police think that he was a threat. The police released a video of the death of Kimmons. After a grand jury deemed the shooting justified. Winston, however, says that it wasn’t and vowed to fight them for “killing her baby.”

Winston is now one of the leaders in Portland of these protests that have turned violent at night.

The same day that she said that she wished police officers had been killed by their umbilical cords, the violent attack on that guy in his truck happened.

This isn’t a peaceful group if their leaders are openly aggressive like this.
