Liberal Democrats like New York’s Dan Goldman do not believe in free speech — they simply reserve it for themselves. As we and others reported, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is ending his third-party “fact checking,” relying on a community-based effort similar to one exercised by Twitter/X. This prompted Goldman — who obviously doesn’t understand the First Amendment to the Constitution — to declare that the First Amendment doesn’t allow Facebook to do this.
“Meta’s decision to stop content moderation is not supported by the First Amendment. But it is a threat to our democracy and a dangerous capitulation to an authoritarian President,” Goldman stated. His false statement was quickly corrected by Community Notes on X.

Goldman’s true intent is clear. He wants messages he and his fellow subversive Democrats don’t like censored. After all, censorship worked so well in the former Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.

And let’s not forget that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted Facebook censored at the request of the federal government.
