Tweet of the Day: Pelosi Inverts U.S. ‘Justice’ System, Says Trump Has ‘Right’ To ‘Prove Innocence’

On Thursday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi inverted the American system of “justice,” claiming that former President Trump has a “right” to prove his innocence in court.

“The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right,” she tweeted.

Of course, she got it completely wrong.  In the American system of justice, it is the prosecution who has to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt — not the defendant’s job to prove innocence.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Pelosi got hammered for this, as one can imagine:

Short answer: Yes. To the first four questions, anyway.

Heh…

It sure seems that way.

Good question.

Heh…

Well, she IS a Democrat, so…

There is that…

There’s a whole lot more, but you get the idea.

This, by the way, IS the modern Democrat Party.  Let that sink in.
