In this one interview, Tucker has done more to hold his side’s politicians accountable than Biden’s corporate media lackeys have all year.
Even Tucker acknowledged that when Ted Cruz got called out on his show for saying something indefensible that Ted was man enough to take his beating for it on TV. Not everyone would have the guts to do that.
What was the issue?
Whether he meant to or not, in framing the events of January 6th the way he did, Cruz just gave the ‘Insurrection’ zealots a massive gift. He called the people who clashed with police that day ‘terrorists’.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
It’s a sound bite we can expect them to cram down our throats any time they want to push the issue, and Tucker had him on his show to ask him why.
It wasn’t a hostile interview, but Tucker wasn’t about to give him a pass on this question either.
Ted admitted it was a mistake.
If you accept Ted’s explanation at face value, he used the same word he has used to describe violence against law enforcement for ten years or more, without giving thought to how his use of that word would put a cudgel in the hand of the left.
If you don’t, you might think he got sucked into giving a pc description of the event to distance himself from it.
It’s the kind of exchange we might expect to see in a media more interested in principles than party. Just don’t expect to find it anywhere among the corporate media sell-outs.
