Trump walks out of meeting with Chuck, Nancy after Pelosi refused to bring up border security measure
On Wednesday, Breitbart reported that President Trump walked out of a meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., after the Democrats indicated they were not willing to negotiate with Republicans to open the government and provide for border security.
“Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time,” Trump said on Twitter.

According to the Breitbart report:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Trump asked Nancy Pelosi if she would bring up a vote for border security within 30 days if he signed a bill to reopen the government.
According to Trump, Pelosi said, “No.”
“I said bye-bye, nothing else works!” Trump wrote.
Vice President Mike Pence noted that Democrats remained unwilling to negotiate a deal with the president and confirmed Trump’s account of the meeting.
“When she said no, the president said, ‘goodbye,’” Pence recalled.
Josh Dawsey, a White House reporter for the Washington Post, confirmed Trump’s words upon leaving.
Democrat aide just now: "He actually said BYE BYE before he left. That's word for word what he said."

Congressional Republicans also confirmed the account, Breitbart said.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Trump was in a good mood going into the meeting and “even brought a little candy for everybody.”
But, McCarthy said, Pelosi “refused to acknowledge the border crisis and that Schumer raised his voice while addressing the president,” the Breitbart report said.
“Their behavior is embarrassing to me,” McCarthy said. Additionally, he added, both Pelosi and Schumer lied about the meeting.
Breitbart added:
“It’s cold out here and the temperature wasn’t much warmer in the Situation Room,” Pelosi said with a shiver, speaking to reporters outside the White House.
Schumer said that the president slammed the table in anger, a claim that Republicans disputed.
“The president walked into the room and passed out candy,” Pence said. “I don’t ever recall him raising his voice or slamming his hand.”
Schumer also said he felt like Trump’s behavior was “unbecoming of the presidency.”
Democrats have made it clear they have no desire to provide any security for the border, despite having once supported a border fence. That fence, by the way, was never built. It seems all that matters to Democrats now is opposing the president, even if it puts the country in danger.
