Trump Triumphant as Primary Victories Posted by People He Endorsed

Former President Donald Trump’s endorsements carried a lot of clout during primary elections Tuesday in Ohio and Indiana.

Former President Donald Trump was grinning ear to ear Wednesday in the aftermath of sweeping primary wins by Republican candidates he endorsed for Tuesday’s primary elections in Ohio and Indiana.

Rasmussen Reports says Trump’s endorsement is more valuable than Joe Biden’s in a headline story detailing victories Trump’s picks scored. According to Rasmussen, “Trump has endorsed author J.D. Vance in this week’s Ohio GOP Senate primary. Not surprisingly, Trump’s endorsement carries the most weight with Republican voters – 59% would be more likely to vote for a Trump-endorsed candidate in their state. By comparison, 47% of Democrats would be more likely to vote for a Biden-endorsed candidate.”

Overall, however, the Rasmussen story notes a “national telephone and online survey finds that 32% of Likely U.S. Voters say that if a candidate for election in their state were endorsed by Trump, it would make them more likely to vote for that candidate.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

However, 43 percent said a Trump endorsement would make them “less likely” to vote for a candidate.

“By comparison,” Rasmussen revealed, “26% of voters say an endorsement of a candidate in their state by President Joe Biden would make them more likely to vote for that candidate, while 46% say it would make them less likely to vote for that candidate and Biden’s endorsement would not make much difference for 26%.”

Trump told Fox News he was “22 an d 0” in Tuesday’s primary races.

“I won every race,” he boasted.

Twenty-two candidates the former president supported in Ohio and Indiana won their races Tuesday night, including JD Vance, now the Republican nominee to run for the U.S. Senate from Ohio in November.

Trump predicted a “tremendous season” for GOP candidates, and they will be attempting to capture Capitol Hill from Democrats.

The election results were an indication that Trump wields an enormous amount of political gravitas, and Democrats running for office this fall may try to use that in their campaigns, demonizing the former president rather than taking on their actual opponent. Whether that works or backfires will be seen in the vote returns Nov. 8.
