A four alarm fire on the 50th floor of Trump Tower in Manhattan claimed the life of the resident in the apartment on Saturday evening. Two firefighters had burn-related injuries, and 4 others received non-life-threatening injuries, according to ABC. The incident broke out at around 5:30 p.m. with smoke and flames shooting from that floor. FDNY was there within 5 minutes.

The department declared the fire was “under control” at about 8 p.m., About 200 firefighters battled the blaze.
The resident who died was Todd Blassner, 67, who initially was listed in critical condition at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, but later died. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

President Trump was in Washington when the fire erupted. That didn’t stop the leftists from celebrating the fire that took a life and injured firefighters. Most of them were incensed that Donald Trump said his building was “well built” because the residential floors do not have sprinklers. But the fire commissioner, Daniel Nigro, stated that the building “sure stood up quite well.” This was the 2nd fire at Trump Tower so far in 2018.
