After his first State of the Union speech, President Donald Trump was caught on a hot microphone telling a Republican House member that he would “100 percent” release the controversial memo that reportedly reveals abuses of the FISA process.
“Let’s release the memo,” Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., is heard saying on the hot CSPAN microphone as he shook hands with the president.
“Don’t worry, 100 percent,” Trump said in response.
“Duncan’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment,” the Washington Examiner said.

The report adds:
By invoking an obscure congressional rule Monday night, the GOP lawmakers on the panel were able to vote along party lines to release the GOP-gathered memo despite objections from the Democratic minority. Now, the decision is in President Trump’s hands, who now has a maximum of five days to explicitly object to the memo’s release.
Despite signals from the White House that they are for “full transparency” on the memo, the Justice Department and FBI still have time to lobby the president against its release.
Should Trump object to its release, the full House can override his decision and make the memo public. Trump can also release the memo on his own between now and the five-day deadline, which began Monday night after the committee’s vote.
Earlier this week, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., told Fox News the memo will be especially embarrassing to Rep. Adam Schiff:
My Democratic colleagues didn’t want us to find this information. They did everything they could to keep us from finding this information. I think it will be embarrassing to Adam Schiff once people realize the extent to which he went to keep them from learning any of this. That would be the embarrassment…. if it were up to Adam Schiff, you wouldn’t know about Hillary Clinton’s email. You wouldn’t know about the server. You wouldn’t know about the dossier. I do find it ironic that he has his own memo right now because if it were up to him, we wouldn’t know any of it.
The contents of the memo, which sparked the viral hashtag #ReleaseTheMemo, has been called “worse than Watergate.”
