Trump Sues Big Tech CEOs Over Censorship Of Conservatives (VIDEO)

Buckle up, Big Tech. It’s your turn to be scrutinized.

On Wednesday, former President Donald J. Trump announced that he was filing a class action lawsuit against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai over censorship of conservatives on social media platforms. The former president will serve as the lead plaintiff.

[Trump] demanded the end of ‘shadow banning,’ and ‘blacklisting’ as he stood in the blazing sun, using his Bedminster golf course clubhouse as a backdrop.

‘In addition, we are asking the court to impose punitive damages on these social media giants,’ he said.

‘We’re going to hold big tech very accountable.’

Trump will serve as the lead plaintiff in the suit, claiming he has been wrongfully censored, he added.

The legal moves are backed by the America First Policy Institute, a non-profit that includes several former senior administration officials.

Linda McMahon, former Small Business Administrator under Trump and chairwoman of the America First Policy Institute, and Brooke Rollins, former acting director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, and other leading conservatives joined him for the announcement.

Trump accused the mainstream media and politicians of cozying up to big tech.

‘Congress has repeatedly told big tech, that if they do not silence Democrats’ political opponents, ban prominent conservative voices – I wonder who that would be – and restrict what the left ominously labels as disinformation … and they are the greatest disinformation group of people, ever, ever in the world …’ he said.

Trump’s Twitter ban that started the censorship ball rolling is permanent. In February, Twitter CFO Ned Segal told CNBC’s Squawk Box that the ban is in place even if Trump runs again in 2024.

Facebook has kicked the can down the road for a couple of years as their “independent Oversight Board” — sometimes referred to as its “Supreme Court” — said that he could return to the platform after the 2-year suspension if he stopped committing “violations.”

After the Twitter ban, Trump and his official campaign account were silenced on:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • YouTube
  • Snapchat
  • Twitch
  • Pinterest

Groups that were supportive of the President — but not used by him or his team — were also removed from platforms like Reddit and Discord. And, of course, Amazon pulled the plug on Parler in the wake of the January 6 riot.

But the left will tell you that there’s no censorship of conservatives.
