Ever since Trump was inaugurated NY Senator Schumer has been doing all he can to obstruct President Trump or make him look bad, On Thursday Schumer sent a public letter blasting the President for not doing corona-related projects. It seems that Schumer hasn’t been paying attention because most of his list had had already been completed. The President answered Schumer with a letter that can best be described as a smackdown of Schumer.
In his letter, Schumer claimed that it was “long past the time” to name a senior military officer to lead the effort, including allowing the individual to use the Defense Production Act “to complete and rapidly implement a plan for the increased production, procurement and distribution of critically-needed medical devices and equipment.” The President must agree because he appointed the senior military leader, Rear admiral John Polowczyk, two weeks ago, Schumer was even briefed on the appointment, but it didn’t stop the minority leader from continuing to attack Trump on the issue.
The President responded with a letter of his own that was pure Trump counter-punch. It began with, “Dear Senator, thank you for your incorrect sound bites” and slammed the senator with zingers such as, ” No wonder AOC and others are thinking about running against you in the primary. If they did, they would likely win,” and, “I’ve known you for many years, but I never knew how bad a Senator you are for the state of New York until I became President.”
