While speaking in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump promised to triple the number of ICE deportation officers, announcing a deportation task force focused on removing dangerous criminal illegal aliens.  He went one step further and suggested they might be able to deport Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton.

“We’re going to triple the number of ICE deportation officers. Within ICE, I am going to create a new special deportation task force, focused on identifying and quickly removing the most dangerous criminal illegal immigrants in America, who have evaded justice, just like Hillary Clinton has evaded justice, okay? Maybe they’ll be able to deport her,” he said to laughter and cheers.

Here’s video of his comment:

The L.A. Times added:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Anyone who tells you that the core issue is the needs of those living here illegally has simply spent too much time in Washington,” Trump said to cheers from thousands of supporters here at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Rather, Trump said that President Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s policies are to blame for “countless American” deaths at the hands of immigrants in the country illegally. He said the main problem with the immigration system is that it serves the needs of wealthy donors, interest groups and politicians. He warned that Clinton was planning to broadly expand her powers if elected, in defiance of the Constitution, to grant increased “executive amnesty.”

Trump’s immigration plan mirrored his foreign policy slogan: America first.

Of course, Trump was only joking about deporting Hillary, nevertheless, the statement caused some on the left to clutch their pearls…

A post at the Hollywood Life website, for example, falsely claimed Trump “said that Hillary Clinton should be deported for ‘evading justice.’”

Hillary, of course, has managed to evade justice for her 40-plus years of lying and scheming her way to the top, but Trump knows she can’t be deported.  His point was that those in the country illegally who have evaded justice the way Clinton has will be deported.

It’s amazing this even has to be explained…
