Trump Lashes Out at Companies Threatening Georgia, Releases His Own Boycott List

Peach State Governor Brian Kemp, just days ago, signed a new law that liberals falsely claim will restrict certain aspects of the voting process in Georgia, leading to voter suppression. The left is going crazy because they rely on voter fraud to elect their candidates and are calling for boycotts of businesses in the state. So far, the biggest leftist victory was Major League Baseball, which moved the 2021 All-Star Game out of Atlanta, Georgia. Former President Trump is objecting to baseball’s move out of Atlanta and urges a boycott of corporations threatening to boycott Georgia over the bill.

It would be interesting to see a reporter ask the bill’s critics which particular provision of the bill they object to and what page of the law it is written. I doubt if they can answer as it would require reading the law. Those people who read the bill would learn the bill opens up voting and what it restricts is the possibility of third-party interference in the voting process:

  • It ADDS 4 days of early voting
  • it DOESN’T prevent people waiting in a voting line to get food and drinks—it only prevents someone who is not an election worker to give food or beverage to any voter waiting in line to vote and close to the polling place. Campaigns were using giving snacks as an excuse to break the rules about campaigning close to the polling places. The bill allows for “self-service water from an unattended receptacle” available to voters waiting in line.
  • It eliminates the signature-matching process to verify mail ballots and instead allows voters to provide their driver’s license or state ID number or a photocopy of another accepted identification. If the voter lacks an ID,  the bill says the state must give FREE IDs.
  • Voters will have to request absentee ballots 11 days before an election, rather than the Friday before Election Day as currently allowed.
  • It bans ballot harvesting, third parties collecting and delivering ballots (at least the ones they WANT to deliver).
  • The bill expands in-person weekend voting. The law requires two days of Saturday early voting and gives the option of two Sunday voting days. Many smaller Georgia counties in the state do not currently offer that much weekend voting.
  • Where early voting may get hurt is runoff elections. The bill says runoff elections must happen four weeks after the general election, which leaves only a week for early voting.
  • It stops drop boxes by third parties. And drop boxes won’t be available to voters until the last four days of an election when it’s too late to mail them in time. The boxes will be located at early voting locations.
  • Unlike what some say, the final version of the bill didn’t include a proposal to end no-excuse absentee voting. Any Georgia voter can vote absentee without justifying.

Former President Donald Trump is defending the bill and calling for a boycott of the companies who are boycotting Georgia.

Former President Donald Trump doubled down on his criticism of companies that oppose Georgia’s new voting law, and widened his appeal for more boycotts.

“Never submit, never give up!” Trump said. In a statement, he added that his political opponents — the “Radical Left Democrats” — had long used brand boycotts to send messages.

“It is finally time for Republicans and Conservatives to fight back — we have more people than they do — by far! Boycott Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JPMorgan Chase, ViacomCBS, Citigroup, Cisco, UPS, and Merck. Don’t go back to their products until they relent. We can play the game better than them,” Trump said.

His full emailed statement is at the bottom of this post.

Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama praised the MLB move:

Obama probably praised the move because he thinks Georgia has many Jews. During his eight years in the White House, Obama proved himself to be an anti-Semite.

The anti-Georgia leftists are also trying to get the PGA to move the Masters out of Augusta, Georgia. They don’t understand that there can be no Masters unless it is played at Augusta National Golf Course.  The tournament was created for Augusta in 1934 when it was called the Augusta National Invitational and played there each of the 86 Masters since then. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Augusta National owns the name Masters Tournament.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed the new law because he believes it’s the right thing to ensure that elections are valid:

“Free and fair elections are the foundation of who we are as a state and a nation. Secure, accessible, fair elections are worth the threats. They are worth the boycotts as well as the lawsuits,” Kemp said at a press conference Saturday.

“I want to be clear: I will not be backing down from this fight, and neither are the people who are here with me today,” he added.

President Trump is not backing down either, as you can tell by reading his full statement:
