TMZ: Barron Trump thought Kathy Griffin really held his father’s head

As we reported yesterday, alleged comedian Kathy Griffin engaged in a stunt where she held a mock-up of Donald Trump’s bloody severed head.  According to TMZ, the stunt traumatized Trump’s 11-year-old son, Barron, who thought she really had his father’s head in her hand.

TMZ reported:

Barron Trump was watching television Tuesday at home with Melania when Kathy Griffin‘s photo appeared on the screen, and his initial reaction was that something terrible happened to his father.

Trump family sources tell us Barron was in front of the TV watching a show when the news came on and he saw the bloody, beheaded image. We’re told he panicked and screamed, “Mommy, Mommy!”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

As it was put to us, “He’s 11. He doesn’t know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad.”

First Lady Melania called the D-list celebrity out, saying that what she did was disturbing, wrong and “makes you wonder about [her] mental health.”

The president also referenced his son’s reaction in a tweet:

Donald Trump Jr. also mentioned her disgusting photo in a tweet:

Griffin issued an apology of sorts after defending her “art,” and the Secret Service is investigating the incident, TMZ added.  A video of that “apology” can be seen here.

As a result, Squatty Potty suspended its ad campaign featuring Griffin, saying, “We were shocked and disappointed to learn about the image Ms. Griffin shared today. It was deeply inappropriate and runs contrary to the core values our company stands for.”

CNN said it is evaluating her role in future New Year’s Eve programming but has not made a decision.

In February 2011, I first said that liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of rage and hate.  Liberals like Griffin prove that assertion correct on just about any given day.
