The Borg-like collective known as the modern American left, is in full meltdown mode with the firing of James Comey.  On Tuesday, Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., floated the nonsensical conspiracy theory that the administration is concerned that Comey may be close to something on the investigation into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians — even though there is not a single iota of evidence to suggest that ever happened.

“Trump firing Comey shows how frightened the Admin is over Russia investigation,” he tweeted.

Opinion was sharply divided, with low-information liberal supporters blindly swallowing the conspiracy theory and Trump supporters educating Kaine on this thing we like to call, “reality.”

One person posted a picture of the letter sent by Trump:

Actually, there is no attempted “coup,” but facts like that won’t stop the insane left.

As we noted earlier today, liberals hated Comey and demanded that he be removed, convinced that he helped Hillary Clinton lose.  Now, those same liberals are outraged that Comey is fired.

One person may have hit the nail on the head:

Fairy tale is exactly right.  And there’s no doubt the insane left will instantly accept it, regardless of the facts.

Don’t hold your breath…

Moreover, as Breitbart observed, Kaine isn’t the only liberal pushing the tinfoil-hat conspiracy theory:

Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager, released the following statement:

I was as frustrated, concerned and disappointed as anyone with Director Comey’s handling of the email investigation, but President Trump just fired the man investigating how Russia meddled in our election and whether members of his campaign were involved, an investigation President Trump called a “charade” only 24 hours ago. It’s equally concerning that our attorney general, who lied about his own meetings with the Russians, approved Director Comey’s firing.

Clinton’s press secretary, Brian Fallon, tweeted, “I’m not shedding any tears for Comey personally – he hurt the FBI’s reputation – but I do worry whether we ever get to the bottom of Russia now.”

Former aides to Obama also claimed Trump fired Comey over the Russia investigation.

“This should not be sugarcoated. Firing Comey is up there in terms of the scariest things Trump has done,” former Obama White House Communications Director Jen Psaki wrote on Twitter.

What’s next? Will Democrats claim the Russians made Trump fire Comey?  Who knows.  Meanwhile, please go here and take our poll — Did Pres. Trump do the right thing by firing James Comey?
