The Misses Keep Coming: 57% Give Biden ‘Poor’ Score for Economy

A cheerful Joe Biden may be a thing of the past as polling numbers put him in a nosedive on the economy.

Joe Biden is running out of excuses and he’s running out of support, save for the stubborn Democrats who still maintain he is doing an “excellent” or “good” job of handling the economy, but overall, 57 percent of likely voters think the Delaware Democrat is a disaster, and that’s a two-point uptick since December.

According to Rasmussen Reports, a new poll released Tuesday says “just 27% of Likely U.S. voters rate Biden excellent or good for his handling of the economy. That’s down from 32% in December.”

On the other side, a whopping 80 percent of Republicans and 54 percent of Independents, along with 24 percent of Democrats “think Biden’s policies are most to blame for rising fuel costs.”

But speaking specifically of Democrats, “46% blame major oil companies and 20% blame Putin for high gas prices,” Rasmussen said.

The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was conducted June 16 and 19 with a margin of sampling error at+/- 3 percentage points and a 95% level of confidence, Rasmussen said.

There’s no end to bad news for Biden, either. Rasmussen’s Daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows Biden’s job approval rating falling faster than he did from a bicycle. Rasmussen said only 19 percent of likely voters “strongly approve” of the job Biden is doing, while an ominous 49 percent “strongly disapprove” of his performance on the job. He winds up Tuesday with a Presidential Approval Index rating of –30.

On the economy, 91 percent of Republicans and 76 percent of Independents “say the economy has gotten worse over the past year,” according to Rasmussen. Add to that, only 8 percent of Republicans and 20 percent of Independents believe Biden is handling the economy well. But, 86 percent of GOP voters and 62 percent of Independents give Biden a poor rating for how he has handled the economy.

The stock market has plummeted, putting millions of Americans’ retirement accounts in jeopardy, and gas and grocery costs have surged upward.

Adding some comic relief to the suffering economy, Fox News is reporting that the Democratic National Committee has had to “slash their price for a photo with Vice President Kamala Harris” at a women’s forum. The big fund raiser reportedly hasn’t sold enough tickets, “and was postponed.”
