The Democrat party platform was released Monday night, and it’s a doozy. A great portion of it is unconstitutional, but let’s drill down to the specifics on gun control. The 2nd Amendment in particular is in the crosshairs of the anti-gunners in the Democrat party.
Here are the specific parts they have targeted:
Democrats will establish universal background checks, a step supported by the vast majority
of Americans, including gun owners. We will once again ban assault weapons and
high-capacity magazines. We will require safe storage for guns. Democrats will end the gun
industry’s immunity from liability, so gunmakers can no longer escape accountability. We will
pass a national red flag law to prevent tragedies by keeping weapons out of dangerous
hands. We will increase funding to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms(ATF)for
enforcement and prosecution, and to the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) for firearm background checks. And, because the gun violence epidemic is a public health crisis, we will
fund gun violence research across the Centers for Disease Control(CDC) and National
Institutes of Health (NIH) as well as community violence interventions. Democrat Party Platform
Keep in mind that the CDC and NIH use statistics that do not separate suicide or gang violence from other gun stats. Which means that lawful gun owners are the targets. Part of the problem also is that the “vast majority of Americans” do not support their plans. It’s a common theme in all anti-gun rhetoric, but it is inaccurate. Many of their ideas have been tried previously. First, the banning of “assault weapons” from the 1994 Firearms ban did not produce the significant lowering of violence that the Democrats hoped. It wasn’t allowed to “sunset” because of the gun lobby, it was simply ineffective at curbing violence.
When the focus is on the gun instead of the person using the gun, it’s destined to fail.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
So what is missing from the Democrat platform? Banning “assault weapons” would require a gun confiscation scheme. Which is something no law enforcement agency in America would agree to because it would require a door-to-door search…putting their lives in immediate jeopardy. Whether called “mandatory buyback” or any other confiscation scheme they come up with, the result is the same: Americans will not willingly give up their right to self-defense under any circumstances. It wouldn’t just be the AR-15, either, Dems would add all sorts of other weapons to the list because they’s what they have done in the past.

Like Walz, ATF agents have proven they do not care about civil rights or breaking state law. Expect a massive surge in unconstitutional “knock & talks” — home invasions conducted under the guise of what the ATF calls “consensual encounters.” Once unleashed, the ATF will target law-abiding gun owners and federally licensed gun dealers with a frequency and a ferocity never seen before…
Last year, at the insistence of Barack Obama, Joe Biden put Harris in charge of the new White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which Biden said would “centralize, accelerate, and intensify our work to save more lives more quickly.” The Office has no website. Its budget has never been made public. Its staffing levels are not known. It operates in secret, without oversight and wields tremendous power. Only three staffers were identified. The sad fact is, under the Biden-Harris administration, the ATF has targeted law-abiding gun dealers with a taste of that ferocity, destroying family businesses at a rate not seen before (and targeting them for innocuous typos). Imagine if they were unleashed to disarm Americans.
America has the 2nd Amendment, much to the chagrin of every anti-gun Democrat in the country. They hope to defeat the Constitution and reduce or destroy our ability to protect ourselves, our families, and our country. Tim Walz may love the way China conducts itself, and Harris may enjoy the way the old USSR controlled the people, but the rest of us are not fans. The Democrat Party platform is out there for all to see. Elections have consequences – make sure you choose wisely.
