Texas Democrats Send Voter Registrations To Ineligible Immigrants

According to a report in the Washington Times, the Texas Democratic party sent out voter registrations to non-citizens, asking them to register to vote. And the citizenship box was already checked “yes.” That’s not counting the ones sent to people asking the dead to register- some who had been dead for 10 years and over.

Texas has a law against someone encouraging the falsification of a voter registration. Does pre-checking a box qualify? Texas Governor Greg Abbott has vowed to get to the heart of the controversy.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation, a watchdog group, brought the checked box issue to the attention of Texas authorities. The State Attorney General’s office also received complaints about letters being mailed to both immigrants and family members who said their relatives have been dead for some time.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“This is how the Texas Democratic Party is inviting foreign influence in an election in a federal election cycle.” Logan Churchwell, PILF

The Washington Times reported:

The PILF publicly released complaints it sent to Hidalgo and Starr counties asking for an investigation. The organization also provided copies of pre-marked voter applications and the affidavit from the man who said his non-citizen relatives received the mailing.

The applications were pre-addressed to elections officials, which is likely what left many voters to believe they were receiving an official communication from the state.

But the return address was from the State Democratic Executive Committee, and listed an address in Austin that matches the state Democratic Party’s headquarters.

The letter is emblazoned with “Urgent! Your voter registration deadline is October 9.” It continues: “Your voter registration application is inside. Complete, sign and return it today!”

On the application, boxes affirming the applicant is both 18 and a U.S. citizen are already checked with an “X” in the Yes field.

The mailing also urges those who are unsure if they’re registered to “Mail it in.”

So is this a case of just “really bad information” used to send out the mailers? Or is this an attempt to skew the vote? It isn’t new, this has happened before.

Just recently, four Texas women were arrested for voter fraud in a scheme aimed at senior citizens.

Dallas News reported,

“The voter fraud ring forged some signatures and lied to obtain others, edited old applications and resubmitted them without the voters’ knowledge, according to the office.

Many of the voters had to cancel their ballots to vote in person…

Each of the women faces felony charges of providing false information on an application for a mail ballot: 16 counts for Leticia Sanchez, 10 for Leticia Sanchez Tepichin, two for Maria Solis and one for Laura Parra. Sanchez also faces one count of illegal voting.

“Ballots by mail are intended to make it easier for Texas seniors to vote,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a prepared statement. “The unfortunate downside is their extreme vulnerability to fraud.”

So, yes, America, voter fraud is real, and difficult to find if people don’t come forward to advise authorities. Texas is not the only place voter fraud is an issue. Non-citizens have been found to register or vote in  New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, according to the Washington Times.
