Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the leader of Al Qaeda backed al Nusrah has been killed according to Syrian sources in a Western Syria ambush. He is reportedly been killed in the coastal province of Latakia. No independent verification has been made yet. If true, it would be a major blow to Al Qaeda and a boost for the Assad Regime.
