Soros-funded Media Matters blames ‘right-wing media,’ Fox, NRA for Hogg swatting incident

As we and others reported Tuesday, the Parkland, Florida home of anti-gun activist David Hogg was targeted with a potentially deadly “swatting” incident, which resulted in police being dispatched after a false claim that someone was barricaded in the home.  It’s not known who placed the false call, but the sleuths over at the George Soros-funded Media Matters have already pointed a finger of blame.

According to Media Matters:

The dangerous swatting episode follows months of right-wing media harassment faced by Hogg and other Parkland shooting survivors, who became prime targets of ludicrous conspiracy theories and ad-hominem attacks after speaking out against America’s endemic gun violence problem. Fox personalities used airtime to attack Hogg and other survivors for targeting gun manufacturers with activism, and Fox host Laura Ingraham taunted and mocked Hogg online, leading to an advertiser boycott that Fox News has yet to recover from. Hogg even drew the ire of Mike Adams, a far-right conspiracy theorist, who launched the absurdly-named HoggWatch.com, which is dedicated to following Parkland survivors’ every move and pushing fake stories about them.

Let’s list out the suspects according to the radical leftists over at Media Matters, shall we?

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

  1. Conservative bloggers, especially those who support the Second Amendment
  2. Fox News and Fox News personalities
  3. The NRA
  4. Anyone critical of David Hogg

Fortunately, Hogg and his mother were out of town and no one was harmed.  Hogg dismissed the swatting as a “distraction” from his anti-gun bus tour.

As Twitchy noted, “conservative outlet after conservative outlet rightly decried the SWAT-ting incident,” but that obviously didn’t matter to the leftists at Media Matters who apparently aren’t interested in the truth — only fomenting hate and possible violence against those with whom they disagree.

Twitchy quite correctly added:

We hate to break this to Media Matters, but there’s a huge difference between mocking David Hogg or calling him out on his B.S. and attempted murder. Moreover, there are still a lot of unanswered questions about what happened. Who the hell is Media Matters to accuse the “right-wing media” of being responsible for this? Was the “left-wing media” to blame when conservatives like Erick Erickson were victims of SWAT-ting?

No they don’t, but getting the truth isn’t the goal.  Demonizing conservatives is the real objective.

It would actually have to improve 100 percent to rise to the level of irresponsible.
