Six Days, Five Navy Officers Fired: Are We Back to Obama’s Purge?

Five US Navy Officers were fired since June 8. Back in February, three were relieved of duty as well. Two were removed in May from the Naval Justice School. In December and January, several officers were also removed from their positions. The standard cryptic statement of “loss of confidence in their ability to command” was all that was released. (The Epoch Times). So do these firings this year and last have to do with the Covid vaccine mandate? Or something else? The US Military is notoriously tight-lipped when someone is relieved of duty. But are they being removed because of some egregious behavior or because they disagree with the Biden administration? Suspicious, given the track record of Biden’s former boss.

“Lack of confidence in their ability to lead” – Five Navy Officers

June 8: Cmdr. Matthew McCormick, commander of an Electronic Attack Squadron connected to the USS Harry S Truman.

June 10: Cmdr. Devine Johnson and Command Master Chief Petty Officer Earl Sanders with the USS Bulkeley.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

June 11: Capt. Jeffry Sandin head of Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois.

June 14: Cmdr. Peter Lesaca of the USS Preble.

Prior to these last removals, on May 31: Capt. Amy Larson, the commanding officer, and Marine Corps Lt. Col. Bret Swaim, the executive officer were removed from the Naval Justice School. That’s not counting the three officers removed back in February, and the ones from December and January.

Does this affect our National Security? The Navy claims none of the removals interfere with operations. Maybe not operations, but it makes a potential National Security issue when other nations are watching. Top War, a Russian publication, mentioned the situation:

Resignations in the US Navy, as in any other branch of the armed forces of any country in the world, are commonplace. But such a “starfall” of senior officers over the course of one week cannot but raise questions about the processes taking place in the US Navy and naval aviation.

A previous purge

If you remember, Obama had 197 officers removed from their positions. He instituted the “sequester” which was a cap on the budgets of all military branches. He made certain that the military couldn’t grow, and replaced the old school officers with ones that agreed with his policies.

Currently, the US Army is not meeting its recruitment goals and is having to extend certain positions, according to Military Times. Obama reduced the military to “rubble.” Biden is following in his footsteps.

Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, an outspoken critic of the Obama administration, notes how the White House fails to take action or investigate its own officials but finds it easy to fire military commanders “who have given their lives for their country.” Vallely thinks he knows why this purge is happening.

“Obama will not purge a civilian or political appointee because they have bought into Obama’s ideology,” Vallely said. “The White House protects their own. That’s why they stalled on the investigation into Fast and Furious, Benghazi and ObamaCare. He’s intentionally weakening and gutting our military, Pentagon and reducing us as a superpower, and anyone in the ranks who disagrees or speaks out is being purged.”
