Shots were fired in the “vicinity” of the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida as he was golfing. The suspect fled the scene and left the gun behind. He was arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Some media reports that the shots fired were intended to harm Donald Trump, although that has not been confirmed by the Secret Service.

West Palm Beach Law enforcement found an AK-47 in the bushes after the suspect fled. The Secret Service Spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi stated:
“The Secret Service, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe.@pbso will have more details soon.”

According to local law enforcement, the Secret Service opened fire at the suspicious subject when they saw what appeared to be the barrel of a gun. The suspect was a few holes ahead of Trump, as reported by the New York Post.
The White House issued a statement soon after the incident: “The President and Vice President have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course, where former President Trump was golfing. They are relieved to know that he is safe. They will be kept regularly updated by their team.” New York Post
Early reports said that it was two people shooting at each other nowhere near President Trump as he was playing the Trump International Golf Course 5th hole and heard approximately 4 shots. As usual in a major incident, the media reports are sketchy. The most important information is that President Trump is SAFE.

Was this shooting at Trump International Golf Course another attempt to silence our former President? Or was it simply a gang incident that happened to be in the vicinity of Trump? Is the Secret Service doing its job or still being sloppy? Time will tell, if Trump survives.
