Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA) are asking Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to release any State Department documents related to Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
Earlier this week John Solomon revealed emails between Burisma Holdings (the Ukrainian gas that employed Hunter Biden) and the Obama state department and others. The primary topic of which was getting State’s help stopping the Ukraine investigation of Burisma. Based on Solomon’s report, asked Foggy Bottom to turn over those and any related documents.
Solomon’s report was a blockbuster which may prove the Obama state department helped Hunter’s company get out of trouble:
Hunter Biden’s name, in fact, was specifically invoked by the Burisma representative as a reason the State Department should help, according to a series of email exchanges among U.S. officials trying to arrange the meeting. The subject line for the email exchanges read simply “Burisma.”
“Per our conversation, Karen Tramontano of Blue Star Strategies requested a meeting to discuss with U/S Novelli USG remarks alleging Burisma (Ukrainian energy company) of corruption,” a Feb. 24, 2016, email between State officials read. “She noted that two high profile U.S. citizens are affiliated with the company (including Hunter Biden as a board member). Based on the report from John Solomon, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee Chuck Grassley, along with Ron Johnson who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs panel sent a letter to Secretary of State Pompeo Wednesday seeking answers to questions regarding the way a consulting firm hired by Burisma Holdings appears to have used Hunter’s Biden’s role on Burisma’s board to possibly influence State Department. In addition to State Dept. records related to Hunter Biden, they asked for information related to his business partners Devon Archer and Christopher Heinz. Hunter Biden co-founded Rosemont Seneca Partners with Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, and Archer who was a college buddy of Heinz.

You may notice that question the senators forgot to ask in the letter below is if Pompeo does supply the information by November 20, as requested will Adam Shiff try to throw the Secretary of State out of office by Thanksgiving?
