A report by The Gateway Pundit states that nine surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) were smuggled into the United States, ostensibly to target former President Donald Trump’s personal airplane. Is it true, or is it false?

According to their report, the missiles are shoulder-fired SAMs of Persian origin, but not necessarily from Iran. The Misagh-3 missiles reportedly have heat-seeking capabilities.
The Gateway Pundit spoke to Dr. Pete Chambers, a former Army Lt. Col. and Green Beret, who first went public with the story and has devoted years of his life to protecting the southern border. On the evening of September 22, he received a report from a confidential informant.
The next morning, Chambers said a second informant corroborated this report with a colleague close to Chambers by the name of Bazzel Baz…
According to Chambers, one informant was outside of the United States while the other was within. The informants had received information that nine surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) had crossed into the United States via a point of entry (POE).
Both Chambers and Baz were told specifically that these were Misagh-3 missiles of Persian origin. However, Chambers said, “despite their origin, he said it is not necessarily indicative of Iranian involvement until proven otherwise.”…
Regardless of the potential for Iranian involvement, Chambers said, “there is credible evidence that there are three three-man teams of non-Persian origin inside the United States.” He also disclosed that “a second tranche of information identified former president [Donald] Trump’s airplane as the target.”
“The shoulder fired missile system is typically used for a low and slow target, like a plane or helicopter taking off or landing,” the former Green Beret explained, adding that he cannot understand how nine of the missile systems could make it across the border at a POE. The Gateway Pundit
Should this be ignored? No. President Trump was briefed by authorities on the threats from Iran just a few days ago. Larger, more concerning weapons have been located on the Mexico side of the border previously.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Sources within the agency tell NewsNation they’re confident that these weapons would not be used on the U.S. side of the border, especially against law enforcement, as that type of escalation would be horrible for business. However, other agents say because behavior coming out of the criminal cartels has been uncharacteristic lately, they are preparing for anything.
“U.S. law enforcement should be concerned for their safety, especially along the border, because those missiles and those weapons easily come across the border,” Victor Avila, a retired supervisory special agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said. News Nation, Sept 23, 2024
Mr. Chambers told TGP that the only way weapons like SAMs could get through the US Border is to pay someone off. The question remains: is Trump’s plane at risk from SAMs?
While this report is lacking in specific sources, the potential for disaster is real. Iran is not likely to give up, the cartels are enjoying their lucrative open border party, and the nutjobs egged on by Democrat rhetoric are also in play. To put it bluntly: Donald Trump must be wise and have an excellent team on his side.
