Both the MSM and Biden Administration are touting their new immigration policy as the real solution to the Border crisis. But that is incorrect, according to Chad Wolf, the former head of the Department of Homeland Security under Trump. He is advising people to read the “fine Print” in an article on the Daily Caller.
The new rules are 153 pages long and lays out the Biden administration’s asylum policies, often referred to as a “parole policy.” But it’s the “fine print” in the details of the enforcement of the policy that negates real answers.
“We can provide humanitarian relief consistent with our values, cut out vicious smuggling organizations, and enforce our laws. Individuals without a legal basis to remain in the United States will be subject to prompt expulsion or removal. Individuals who are provided a safe, orderly, and lawful path to the United States are less likely to risk their lives traversing thousands of miles in the hands of ruthless smugglers, only to arrive at our southern border and face the legal consequences of unlawful entry.” Alejandro Mayorkas
Which is an out and out lie if you actually read the details. With the cartels in charge of much of the trafficking, will they actually not travel to our border? Doubtful. The cartels are making millions.
The policy is country-specific, with special treatment for Cubans, Nicaraguans, and Haitians… which are added to the specific policies for Ukraine and Venezuela already in place.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
One of the main problems with this rule is that it will still enable illegal aliens to clog the immigration court system with baseless asylum claims. Unlike the Trump era rule, the proposed rule uses the “rebuttable presumption against asylum eligibility” standard for illegal aliens apprehended at the border, which is not a true bar to claiming asylum.
Although this new standard may appear more strict than the current practice, it is a watered-down policy compared to the Trump administration’s rule, which only allowed aliens who fell within the narrow exceptions to make an asylum claim.
Fewer than 15% of illegal aliens apprehended at the border qualify for asylum, and obtaining humanitarian relief is not the end goal for the vast majority of these illegal aliens. Instead, being released into American communities is what they are really trying to achieve, and nothing in this rule stops that from happening…
Additionally, the proposed rule is loaded up with exceptions beyond the commonsense ones from the Trump administration’s rule that render the “asylum bar” nonexistent. For example, it will have no impact on the 30,000 illegal aliens per month from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua who the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is going to parole into the country unlawfully.” Chad Wolf in The Daily Caller
Currently, both the Southern and Northern borders are experiencing a crisis. The Biden administration required some agents stationed at the North to transfer to the Southern Border, which made the Northern border a target for the cartels. The policies of this administration have led directly to the staggering mess at our borders.
The DHS has a new “app” where migrants can schedule an appointment. If they do so, the Border Patrol can just waive them on through. They can also claim they couldn’t access the app, which makes it easily abused.
The rule totally exempts unaccompanied children and family units, which accounts for around 700,000 people per year. The exemptions, the history of the Biden administration failing to implement real solutions leaves Americans once again in the lurch with communities saturated by illegal aliens that overwhelm social systems.
