Professor Emeritus Peter Arenella at UCLA posted on X that the military should mount a coup against President Trump. That was after he called the President a “nazi.” These leftists have no idea what the Nazis actually did, nor are they “saving democracy” by advocating such evil. It could actually be a prosecutable offense.

So, in theory could America’s veterans stand up to the woke military in such a situation? Hoooooo boy, could they. The professor emeritus might want to change his tune immediately. Or just self deport somewhere far away from the US.
One X user reminded people that the posting was likely illegal and prosecutable:
1.18 U.S.C. § 2385 – Advocating Overthrow of Government: This law makes it illegal to knowingly or willfully advocate, abet, advise, or teach the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the U.S. government (including by force against the president) with the intent to incite action. It’s a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Simply expressing an opinion might not cross the line, but if the call is made with intent to provoke immediate illegal action and is likely to do so, it could be prosecuted. 2.18 U.S.C. § 2384 – Seditious Conspiracy: This statute prohibits two or more people from conspiring to overthrow, put down, or destroy the U.S. government by force, or to oppose its authority by force. If someone calls for a military coup as part of a coordinated effort with others to make it happen, this could apply. Penalties include fines or up to 20 years in prison. 3.18 U.S.C. § 871 – Threats Against the President: If the call for a coup includes a direct threat to harm the president, this law could come into play. These smug, stupid leftists need to be arrested. They are not “saving democracy” (and point of fact, the US is not a democracy, but a Constitutional Republic). They’re so illiterate when it comes to history that even a “professor emeritus” can’t distinguish between real history and political rhetoric.
