Portland Rioters Attempt Autonomous Zone, War Zone Ensues

Thursday night, Portland rioters attempted to set up an autonomous zone in the city near the North Precinct of the Portland Police. Attempts to set a fence, block the police building trapping the occupants inside, a fire set on the north side of the police building, fights, tear gas, paintballs, broken windows, a looted business, and arson of others. Accounts described it as a war zone.

The timeline went like this in Portland (timeline paraphrased from KVAL with Twitter pictures added):

At around 10 p.m. on Thursday night, several hundred Portland rioters gathered outside the North Precinct of the Portland Police Bureau and began erecting a fence that was blocking the northbound traffic on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

By 11 p.m. the protesters began ramming dumpsters into the precinct garage doors in an attempt to enter the building. When they couldn’t get inside, they barricaded the exit doors so that no one could get out of the building.PP

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

At 12:00 a.m. they began throwing fireworks at the building, and threatening to burn it down.

By 1 a.m. there were still several hundred rioters at the police precinct, so police declared it an unlawful assembly by using their sound truck. They told people if they didn’t leave they’d be subject to arrest.

Twenty minutes later, protesters lobbed paintballs at police so that they couldn’t see out of their face shields. At 1:40 a.m. someone launched a mortar round onto the roof of the precinct. That prompted officers to begin using crowd control munitions – tear gas, etc.

At 2:15 a.m., protesters set fire to the north side of the police building. Police threw CS gas (tear gas) canisters into the crowd in an effort to protect the inmates and officers inside the building, but some protesters picked them up and threw them back at police.

At 3:00 a.m., a business called Top to Bottom was looted, and others were set on fire. By 3:30 a.m. the crowd had mostly dispersed.

Several officers had minor injuries, one was hospitalized from serious ones. All are expected to recover. Only four people were arrested for the melee of Portland rioters so far:

Joshua Shane Morris, 33, facing charges of Interfering with a Peace Officer, Resist Arrest

Charles Randolph Comfort, 23, facing charges of Interfering with a Peace Officer, Riot, Resist Arrest, Disorderly Conduct II, Assaulting a Public Safety Officer

Olive Baldwin, 22, facing charges of Interfering with a Peace Office, Resist Arrest, Riot

Tudela Jackson, 24, facing charges of Riot, Disorderly Conduct II, Resist Arrest, Interfering with a Peace Officer

So let’s ask this question as panty-waisted Democrats work toward taking away police entirely, defunding them, or not allowing them to have the weapons to fight back in such riots: would you feel better if officers and inmates are burned alive in a fire set by these rioters?

That’s where this is going, America. Is it too late to stop it? Or will Americans wake up before the entire country is in ruins?
